WHAT IT DOES

Greenhouse Candidate Exporter scans Greenhouse candidate list pages and extracts structured candidate data including candidate name, email address, phone number, current role, current company, source (LinkedIn, Indeed, Referral, etc.), hiring stage, job applied to, application date, last activity date, rating, tags, and resume link. The tool aggregates all visible candidates from the current page into a clean table and exports the data as CSV or JSON with one click. You can also copy the data to your clipboard as tab-separated text for pasting into spreadsheets or recruiting analysis tools.

WHERE IT RUNS

This userscript runs inside Greenhouse (greenhouse.io) in your browser, powered by the free BotGentz extension. It operates entirely on the page you are viewing — it does not send your candidate data anywhere else. All data extraction and processing happens locally in your browser. The script works on Greenhouse candidate list pages, including the main Candidates view and filtered/saved search results.

HOW TO USE

Install the BotGentz extension, then install this userscript from the BotGentz catalogue. Navigate to the Greenhouse Candidates page. The tool will automatically scan the page and show the number of candidates found. Use the "Scan Page" button to manually refresh the data. Select which columns you want to export by toggling the checkboxes. Choose your export format (CSV or JSON) from the dropdown. Click "Export" to download the file with the current date in the filename. Click "Copy to Clipboard" to copy tab-separated candidate data for pasting into spreadsheets or recruiting tools.

HOW IT WORKS UNDER THE HOOD

The script uses a multi-strategy extraction approach that adapts to Greenhouse's dynamically rendered React-based DOM. It first attempts to locate the candidate table using selectors like table.candidates-table, .candidates-table, and [data-testid="candidates-table"]. If those fail, it scans the page for any table containing candidate-related keywords like "candidate", "email", "phone", "stage", "source", or "application". The script intelligently identifies table headers from the thead or first row, and maps values to their appropriate columns. The script also detects links within cells to extract resume URLs and other references. It handles dynamic column counts and applies deduplication. The CSV export handles proper escaping of fields containing commas, quotes, or newlines.

THE PANEL

The tool runs in the BotGentz panel, a draggable floating interface that stays on top of the page. You can drag the panel by its header, collapse it to a small bubble, and resize it. The panel remembers its position per site, so it stays where you left it when you return to Greenhouse. Press Escape to close the panel when you are done. The panel includes status indicators showing how many candidates were found, a format selector, and checkboxes for selecting which columns to export.

PLEASE NOTE

This tool requires the free BotGentz extension to run. Greenhouse frequently updates its interface — if the tool stops working, check for an updated version or report the issue. All data stays in your browser and is never sent to any external server. The tool works only on the current page; to export candidates from multiple pages, scan each page individually. The tool extracts visible data only and cannot access candidate data not loaded on the current page. Candidate data should be verified against Greenhouse's official records for accuracy. Resume links may require authentication to access.
