WHAT IT DOES

This tool reads the content of any webpage and uses AI to generate a curated list of 5-15 relevant, trending hashtags perfect for social media posting. It extracts text from the page title, meta description, headings, paragraphs, and main content areas, then sends that content to the AI bridge. The AI analyzes the content and returns hashtags that are contextually relevant, currently trending, and optimized for discoverability on platforms like Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram, and Facebook. Each hashtag is presented as a clickable chip, and you can copy individual hashtags or all of them to your clipboard with one click. The tool is designed for writers, marketers, bloggers, and anyone who wants to boost their social media reach without spending time brainstorming hashtags.

WHERE IT RUNS

The script runs on every website and web application you visit. It works with any content-rich page—articles, blog posts, product pages, news stories, documentation, and more. It works regardless of framework—React, Vue, Angular, Svelte, or plain HTML—and extracts content from the page as rendered in the browser.

HOW TO USE

Upon installation, a floating panel appears with the tool interface. Click "Generate Hashtags" to analyze the current page. The tool extracts the page content and sends it to the AI bridge. Within seconds, the AI returns a list of 5-15 hashtags. Each hashtag appears as a clickable chip—click any hashtag to copy it to your clipboard. Click "Copy All" to copy all hashtags as a space-separated string. The panel shows a status indicator (Ready, Generating, Done, Error) so you always know what's happening. If the page has insufficient content, the tool will notify you.

TECHNICAL MECHANISM: CONTENT EXTRACTION WITH AI HASTAG GENERATION

This tool performs intelligent content extraction by scanning the DOM for meaningful text. It prioritizes semantic elements: title tag for primary topic, meta description for summary, headings (h1-h6) for structure, and paragraphs for detail. It also looks for common content containers like main, article, .content, .post, .entry, and #content. The extracted text is cleaned and formatted into a concise input for the AI. The tool attempts WebMCP (navigator.modelContext) first if available—a W3C proposal for structured tool calls—falling back to the AI backend via GM_xmlhttpRequest. The AI is prompted to generate only hashtags with no preamble, returning a comma-separated list. The tool parses the response, deduplicates, and limits to 15 tags.

THE PANEL

The panel is fully draggable and remembers its position per website using GM_setValue. It automatically snaps to the nearest screen edge when released for a clean workspace. Click the collapse button to minimize it to a small floating bubble that takes minimal space. Click the bubble to expand the panel back. The panel can be resized by dragging any edge or corner. Press the Escape key to close the panel temporarily, and click the extension icon to reopen it.

This script requires the free BotGentz extension and an active AI subscription. Each hashtag generation counts against your monthly AI usage cap. AI replies are generated and should be reviewed before use—the AI may occasionally suggest irrelevant or inappropriate hashtags. As websites frequently update their structure, scripts may need occasional updates to maintain content extraction accuracy. All data processing happens locally except for the AI request—only the extracted page content is sent to the AI backend. No browsing history or personal information is transmitted or stored. This tool is designed for social media content enhancement and is not an autonomous agent that acts without review.
