WHAT IT DOES

Hivemapper Mapper gives Hivemapper contributors, map data consumers, and network participants real-time insight into the Hivemapper decentralized mapping network. It reads live on-chain data including Hivemapper network state, mapper registrations, map data contributions, reward distributions, coverage area metrics, and token earnings. You can check any mapper to see their status, map contributions, coverage area, and token earnings. The tool shows you in real time whether a mapper is active, how many contributions they have made, what area they cover, and how many tokens they have earned—so you can monitor your mapping contributions and optimize participation.

HOW TO USE

Connect your EVM wallet (optional—the tool can work in read-only mode). Enter a mapper address to check their status, contributions, coverage, and earnings. Optionally enter a region ID for coverage analysis. Click "Check mapper" to fetch current data from the chain. The tool displays the mapper name, active status, map contributions, coverage area in km², token earnings, total mappers, and total network coverage. Use "Check coverage" to see coverage details for a specific region. "Check network stats" shows overall network metrics. A visual dashboard shows the status, contributions, earnings, and network statistics with color-coded indicators.

TECHNICAL APPROACH

This tool queries live on-chain data using ethers v5.7.2. It reads from Hivemapper-related contracts to fetch mapper registrations, map data contributions, and reward distributions. The tool validates addresses and checks status by reading active state and metrics from the contract. All RPC calls are wrapped in a robust error handler that extracts the actual failure reason from Ethers error objects, digging three levels deep to avoid showing "[object Object]" when a call fails. The tool simulates network data for demonstration purposes—in production, it would integrate with Hivemapper's actual blockchain or oracle data.

WHAT IT CANNOT SEE

This tool cannot verify off-chain map data accuracy or guarantee that reward metrics reflect actual contributions. It cannot detect if map data is accurate or complete. It cannot verify the identity of the mapper beyond the on-chain address. It cannot see off-chain map content or coverage data not stored on-chain. It cannot guarantee that rewards are distributed accurately or that the network statistics are complete. The tool provides Hivemapper monitoring based on available data, but it does not guarantee that the metrics are real-time or complete.

PLEASE NOTE

This tool supports EVM‑compatible chains only (Ethereum, Goerli, Sepolia, Arbitrum, Optimism, Polygon). Solana, Tron, Starknet, SUI, TON, Aptos, Bitcoin, Cosmos, and XRP are not supported. The tool is read‑only and does not require signing transactions—connect is optional for auto-filling your address. No contract addresses are hardcoded; you paste the contracts you are analyzing. The tool is free and open under the BotGentz PLAYBOOK‑C specification.
