About this app

WHAT IT DOES

The Index Basket Rebalancer enables automated rebalancing of index baskets when token weights deviate beyond configured thresholds. This tool is essential for DeFi index providers, portfolio managers, and automated strategy operators who need to maintain target weightings as market prices fluctuate. Instead of manually checking and adjusting weights, users can configure target allocations, deviation thresholds, and rebalance frequency, and the tool handles the rest.

The tool reads index basket state including token balances, current prices from price feeds/oracles, target weights, current weights, deviation percentages, rebalance thresholds, rebalance frequency, and last rebalance timestamp. It uses batch swapping to adjust the basket composition back to target weights when deviations exceed the configured threshold. The tool supports any number of tokens in the index and automatically calculates the required trades to bring the basket back into balance.

HOW TO USE

1. Connect your wallet using the Connect button. The tool automatically detects your connected address and network.

2. Select the network where your tokens are located. The tool checks the BotGentz sender contract registry for the current chain.

3. Enter the index contract address (if using a contract) or leave empty for manual basket management.

4. Enter the payment token address and the index tokens (comma-separated) with their target weights (comma-separated percentages that sum to 100).

5. Configure the rebalance threshold percentage (e.g., 5% means rebalance when any token deviates by more than 5%) and rebalance frequency in seconds.

6. Configure your slippage tolerance percentage for the swaps.

7. Click "Check current weights" to see the current allocation versus target weights.

8. Review the deviation and whether a rebalance is needed.

9. Click "Execute Rebalance" to submit the rebalance transaction through your wallet.

TECHNICAL MECHANISM

The tool uses the BotGentz shared sender contract's batch swap functionality to execute index rebalances. First, it reads the current weights by querying token balances and current prices. It compares current weights against target weights and identifies which tokens need to be bought or sold. For each token that needs adjustment, the tool calculates the required swap amount and executes the trade using the sender contract's batch swap function. The batch is executed sequentially within the same transaction context, with approvals handled upfront for the tokens being sold. The tool reads the current fee from the sender contract and displays it before execution. The rebalance threshold and frequency parameters ensure that rebalances only occur when necessary and not too frequently, optimizing gas costs.

WHAT IT CANNOT SEE

This tool cannot verify that the price feed is accurate or reliable; it relies on the DEX's on-chain pricing. It cannot detect if the oracle has been compromised or manipulated. It cannot ensure that rebalance will execute at the optimal time or price due to slippage, market volatility, and block timing. It cannot guarantee that the rebalance will result in the exact target weights due to slippage and swap execution constraints. It cannot verify that the index contract has not been upgraded or modified. It cannot detect if the swap path is optimal or if the transaction is being front-run by malicious actors. It cannot recover funds if execution fails due to contract bugs, insufficient approvals, out-of-gas errors, or blockchain reorgs. It cannot verify that tokens being traded are legitimate or not honeypot contracts. It cannot predict market movements, price gaps, or flash crashes that may affect rebalance execution. It cannot guarantee execution during extreme network congestion, high gas prices, or volatile market conditions. It cannot detect if the underlying swap protocol has been compromised. It cannot prevent the user from canceling or modifying rebalance parameters through other interfaces. It cannot ensure that the rebalance frequency is appropriate for index volatility or that the index will track its benchmark accurately after rebalancing.

PLEASE NOTE

This tool is designed for EVM-compatible blockchains supported by the BotGentz sender contract (Ethereum, Polygon, Arbitrum, Optimism, Base, BSC, Avalanche, Fantom, and others). It requires an active wallet connection and sufficient native currency for gas fees. Always verify the sender contract address, fee, and owner displayed in the interface before executing. The tool supports ERC-20 tokens only. The target weights must sum to 100%—the tool validates this before execution. Rebalancing an index with many tokens may result in higher gas costs. The tool is provided as-is with no warranty; users assume full responsibility for their transactions and should exercise caution when rebalancing index baskets. For mainnet usage, ensure the sender contract has been audited and you understand the risks of automated rebalancing including slippage, gas costs, and smart contract risks.
