WHAT IT DOES

AI-powered interview question generator that creates tailored questions from candidate resumes and profiles. The script reads a candidate's resume or profile from the current page—experience, skills, education, projects, and achievements—and generates a set of relevant, probing interview questions. The AI produces a list of questions that assess the candidate's qualifications, experience, problem-solving abilities, and cultural fit, organized by category (experience, skills, behavioral, situational). You can customize the question count (5/7/10), difficulty (basic/intermediate/advanced), and toggle inclusion of behavioral, technical, situational, and cultural fit questions. The user reviews the output before copying or using it.

WHERE IT RUNS

Works on all resume and profile pages (match pattern *://*/*), including applicant tracking systems, LinkedIn profiles, resume parsing pages, and any page containing candidate profile information.

HOW TO USE

Install the script and navigate to any candidate resume or profile page. The Interview Question Generator appears in the panel. Configure your preferred question count, difficulty, and toggle inclusion of behavioral, technical, situational, and cultural fit questions using the settings controls. Click "Generate Questions" to analyze the current page. The AI extracts resume content and generates tailored interview questions. Review the output in the panel. Click "Copy to Clipboard" to copy the questions for use in interviews. Adjust the settings and regenerate if you want a different count or difficulty level.

REAL MECHANISM: DOM CONTENT EXTRACTION WITH AI QUESTION GENERATION AND REVIEW GATE

This script uses a hybrid extraction approach that prioritizes structured content when available. First, it checks for WebMCP (navigator.modelContext), a W3C proposal that exposes structured tools on the page. If available, it calls getContent() to obtain structured resume data. If WebMCP is not present—the common case today—it falls back to DOM scraping using targeted selectors for resume sections (resume-content, profile-content, experience-list, skills-section, education-details, projects-list, achievements, work-experience, and qualifications). It also scans for resume keywords (experience, skills, education, project, achievement, summary, work, certification, objective, qualification) in paragraphs and headings. The extracted text is sent to an AI backend via GM_xmlhttpRequest, which processes it with a system prompt that includes the user's question count, difficulty preference, and inclusion preferences. The AI returns a list of tailored interview questions (up to 300 words) that are relevant and probing. The response is displayed in a bordered container for review before copying. Copy-to-clipboard uses GM_setClipboard. All settings (questionCount, difficulty, includeBehavioral, includeTechnical, includeSituational, includeCulturalFit) are persisted via GM_setValue. The script enforces a review-before-use pattern: the user must read and approve the AI output before copying it.

THE PANEL

Drag the panel anywhere on screen by clicking and holding the header. It snaps to screen edges when released. Collapse it to a small bubble by clicking the minimize button, and expand it back by clicking the bubble. Resize the panel from any corner. Press Escape to close the configuration panel. Your position and size preferences are saved automatically per site.

PLEASE NOTE

This script requires the free BotGentz browser extension and an active AI subscription for the question generation service. AI-generated questions should be reviewed for relevance before use—the AI may generate questions that don't match the role or the candidate's experience. The script reads the current page content and sends it to the AI backend for processing; no data is stored or logged. Websites change frequently; if the script stops detecting resume content, check for updates to the extraction selectors.
