The tool then presents this data alongside an AI-generated explanation of challenge period status, fraud proof risk, finalization timeline, and potential delays or failures — helping you understand the risks before initiating or monitoring a withdrawal.

HOW TO USE

Connect your wallet using the BGWallet bridge and select your target network (Ethereum Mainnet is recommended for L1 finalization checks, but Arbitrum, Optimism, and Polygon are also supported). Enter the rollup or L2 bridge contract address — you vouch for this contract, not the tool. Enter the withdrawal transaction hash or withdrawal ID. Optionally specify the L2 chain name. Click "Analyze withdrawal risk" to read on-chain data. The tool displays the rollup contract, withdrawal ID, L2 chain, finalization status, challenge period, and fraud proof status. Detailed information includes rollup state root, withdrawal batch, finalization time, validator signature count, challenge window, queue position, and bond or fee status. A risk meter visually indicates the overall risk level (Low/Medium/High). An AI explanation appears below the on-chain data, describing the withdrawal's risk profile including challenge period status, fraud proof risk, finalization timeline, and potential delays or failures. The wallet's own signature step still protects you — this explanation is informational only and does not replace reviewing what you approve in your wallet.

TECHNICAL MECHANISM

The tool uses ethers.js v5.7.2 with the provider from the BGWallet bridge to read on-chain data from the contract you specify. No hardcoded contract addresses are used — you are always in control of which contract you trust. When analyzing L2 withdrawal risk, the tool reads withdrawal transaction data from the rollup contract (e.g., getWithdrawal(), getMessage()), L2 to L1 message status from the message queue or outbox contract, challenge period details (duration and remaining time) from protocol parameters, fraud proof status from the rollup's dispute resolution contract or challenge registry, rollup state root from the rollup's state commitment contract, withdrawal batch from the batch submission contract, finalization time from the L1 finalization contract, validator signatures from the attestation or signature verification contract, challenge window from the challenge period management contract, protocol parameters from the rollup's parameter storage, L1 finalization contract state from the L1 bridge contract, withdrawal queue position from the queue management contract, and bond or fee status from the bond or fee escrow contract. The tool fetches event logs (e.g., WithdrawalInitiated, WithdrawalFinalized, ChallengeStarted, FraudProofSubmitted) by walking backwards in chunks and halving chunk size on failure, ensuring logs are properly read despite varying RPC limitations. The data is formatted and passed to the AI bridge via BGAI.generate() with a structured prompt that includes all the on-chain data read. The AI is instructed to explain the withdrawal's risk profile including challenge period status, fraud proof risk, finalization timeline, and potential delays or failures — while stating plainly that it cannot predict L1 finalization delays, challenge outcomes, or validator honesty, and cannot guarantee that the withdrawal will be finalized within the expected timeframe or at all. The AI response is capped at 1,024 tokens to ensure concise, focused risk assessments. All computed values are guarded against negative numbers — if a challenge period or risk score appears invalid, the tool flags it rather than displaying nonsensical values.

WHAT IT CANNOT SEE

This tool cannot predict L1 finalization delays, challenge outcomes, or validator honesty. It cannot guarantee that the withdrawal will be finalized within the expected timeframe or at all. It cannot detect off-chain fraud proofs or dispute resolution outcomes. The AI explanation is generated from on-chain data only and cannot detect hidden validator collusion, off-chain fraud proof manipulation, relayer misbehavior, or disputed withdrawal resolution not reflected on-chain. It cannot predict L1 congestion, gas price spikes, or network delays that may affect finalization. The tool does not continuously monitor the withdrawal; each analysis is a snapshot at the time of the lookup. It cannot detect delayed finalization, transaction frontrunning, or off-chain data latency. The tool does not store any data persistently; all state is in-memory and resets on reload.
