WHAT IT DOES

LifeLock Web Alert Digest automatically scans LifeLock alert and notification pages to extract comprehensive alert data including alert type (Identity, Credit, Financial, Personal Information, Data Breach, Dark Web), alert severity (High, Medium, Low), alert description, date detected, and recommended actions. The tool displays a floating overlay panel showing a digest of recent alerts with color-coded severity indicators—red for high, yellow for medium, and gray for low. Alerts are compiled into a chronological summary with action prioritization, highlighting high-severity alerts that need immediate attention. Each alert displays its type with an icon, severity badge, date, description, and recommended actions when available. You can mark alerts as acknowledged with a single click, and your acknowledgement status is saved across sessions. Summary statistics show total alerts, high severity alerts, and medium severity alerts. This provides a complete, prioritized overview of your LifeLock security alerts.

WHERE IT RUNS

This extension operates exclusively on lifelock.com domain pages that contain alert and notification content—specifically pages with "/alerts", "/dashboard", or "/notifications" in the URL path, or pages that display security alerts and notification lists. It works alongside the free BotGentz companion extension, which provides the necessary DOM access and page interaction capabilities. The alert digest runs entirely within your local browser instance and does not communicate with any external servers or APIs. All alert data extraction, severity analysis, and acknowledgement tracking are processed and stored on your machine, ensuring your security alert data and tracking preferences remain private. It supports all modern Chromium-based browsers (Chrome, Edge, Brave, Opera) and Firefox when paired with the BotGentz bridge.

HOW TO USE

After installing both BotGentz and this alert digest, navigate to any LifeLock alerts or notifications page. Within 1-2 seconds, a panel appears in the bottom-right corner displaying a summary with total alerts, high severity alerts, and medium severity alerts. The "Alerts" section lists each alert with its type icon, title, severity badge (color-coded), date, description, and recommended actions when available. High-severity alerts are shown first for immediate attention. Click the "Acknowledge" button next to any alert to mark it as reviewed—the alert will be dimmed and crossed out, and your acknowledgement status is saved automatically. The panel provides a complete, organized view of all your security alerts and helps you prioritize which ones need immediate action.

ALERT DATA EXTRACTION AND SEVERITY CLASSIFICATION

The alert digest uses a multi-strategy extraction system to locate and parse alert data from LifeLock pages. It first attempts to find structured alert elements using selectors based on the site's typical class naming patterns, including "alert-item," "alert-card," "notification-item," and "security-alert." When these selectors fail due to site updates, the tool falls back to text-based parsing, scanning the page for alert-related patterns using pattern matching for terms like "alert," "notification," "security," "breach," "identity," and "credit." Alert types are classified using a comprehensive keyword mapping system: "identity," "id theft," "ssn," or "social security" maps to Identity; "credit," "score," "report," or "inquiry" to Credit; "financial," "bank," "account," "transaction," "fraud," or "card" to Financial; "personal info," "address," "phone," "email," or "password" to Personal Information; "breach," "data leak," "exposure," or "compromised" to Data Breach; and "dark web" or "monitoring" to Dark Web. Severity classification uses keyword detection for "urgent," "critical," "immediate," "severe," "high risk," or "action required" mapping to high; "moderate," "concern," "needs review," or "attention" to medium; and "notice," "information," "update," or "routine" to low. Acknowledgement status is stored using GM_setValue and persists across sessions.

THE PANEL

The alert digest panel is a compact, functional overlay that integrates into the LifeLock alerts page. It can be dragged by clicking and holding the title bar, positioning the panel anywhere on the screen for optimal visibility while you review your security alerts. The panel includes a built-in snap feature that automatically aligns to the nearest screen edge when released within 48 pixels, keeping your workspace organized. Click the collapse arrow in the top-right corner to minimize the panel to a small icon bubble showing a gear emoji, preserving screen space while keeping the tool accessible. The panel is not resizable in this version, maintaining a consistent compact size that works on all screen resolutions. Press the Escape key to instantly hide the panel; press Escape again to restore it. All position, collapse state, and alert acknowledgement status are saved locally using GM_setValue and persist across browsing sessions.

PLEASE NOTE

This extension requires the free BotGentz extension to function—the alert digest does not work standalone. LifeLock occasionally updates its page layouts and alert presentation formats, which may temporarily affect alert data extraction accuracy. The tool extracts alert data from the visible page content; if alert information is loaded dynamically after page load, you may need to wait a moment or refresh the page for the panel to populate. Alert severity classification is based on keyword detection and is provided as a reference—always review the actual alert details on the official LifeLock platform. Acknowledgement status is for personal tracking only and does not affect your LifeLock account. The tool does not store or transmit any data; all alert data extraction, severity analysis, acknowledgement tracking, and settings are processed and saved entirely within your browser.
