About this app

WHAT IT DOES Lighthouse Score Quick-Check Button adds a floating button to any webpage that gives you instant access to Lighthouse performance scores. A compact badge displays the last known Lighthouse score for the domain with color-coded indicators—green for 90+, orange for 50-89, and red for below 50—making it easy to see a site's quality at a glance. The button opens the Google Lighthouse report via Chrome DevTools or fetches scores using the PageSpeed Insights API. Recent scores are cached for quick reference, and the panel shows a detailed breakdown of Performance, Accessibility, Best Practices, and SEO scores. Score history tracking lets you see trends over time. Use the panel to compare scores across different pages on the same domain. WHERE IT RUNS This script runs on every website (matching all URLs), adding the Lighthouse button across the entire web. It works on any page—whether you're testing your own site or evaluating competitors—and adapts automatically. HOW TO USE After installing through the BotGentz extension, a floating Lighthouse button appears on every page (configurable position: top-right, top-left, bottom-right, bottom-left). The button shows a cached score if available. Click the button to run a Lighthouse check—either via the PageSpeed Insights API or by opening Chrome DevTools. Use the configuration panel to customize your experience: toggle the floating button on or off, choose the button position, show or hide the cached score, enable or disable auto-check on page load, select your provider (DevTools or PageSpeed), and set the cache duration in days. The panel displays a detailed score breakdown with color-coded indicators and a history of recent scores for the domain. Use the "Clear Cache" button to remove stored scores. PAGESPEED INSIGHTS API INTEGRATION WITH CACHED SCORING AND HISTORY TRACKING This script implements a Lighthouse score checking system using the Google PageSpeed Insights API (v5). The API request includes the current URL with strategies for performance, accessibility, best-practices, and SEO categories. The response parser extracts category scores (scaled from 0-100) and stores them locally using GM_setValue. The caching system stores scores with timestamps for each domain, with a configurable cache TTL (7 days default). The average score is calculated from all four categories and displayed on the badge. History tracking maintains a list of previous scores for each domain, showing trends over time. The button position engine uses fixed CSS positioning with four configurable corner placements. The color-coded scoring uses a three-tier system (90+, 50-89,
