WHAT IT DOES

Linea Network Monitor provides comprehensive visibility into the operational state of the Linea L2 network. It reads and displays network status showing connected, syncing, or degraded states, current block number with real-time updates, block timestamp for timing, block hash for verification, block gas limit for capacity, gas used for utilization, base fee for transaction pricing, priority fee for fast execution, transaction count for activity, transaction volume for throughput, average block time for performance, network uptime for reliability, sequencer status for transaction ordering, L1 state root for cross-layer verification, L2 state root for chain state, bridge contract state for L1 integration, deposit count for L1-to-L2 activity, withdrawal count for L2-to-L1 exits, pending deposits for queue status, pending withdrawals for queue status, batch submission count for rollup activity, batch frequency for throughput, proof generation status for zk proofs, proof verification status for validity, gas oracle state for fee estimates, gas price estimates for transaction costing, sync status for node synchronization, chain health metrics for overall health, validator set for consensus, validator performance for participation, epoch information for consensus rounds, slot information for block production, finalization status for settlement, checkpoint status for state verification, network latency for responsiveness, transaction queue depth for backlog, and RPC endpoint status for connectivity. HOW TO USE

Connect your wallet to the tool and select the network where your Linea node is running. Enter the Linea RPC endpoint in the input field. Optionally provide an L1 RPC endpoint for additional verification. Click "Monitor Network" to connect to the Linea network and retrieve its operational state. The tool will query the network for block number, gas metrics, transaction count, batch submissions, deposits, withdrawals, sync status, and sequencer status. Results are displayed in organized cards showing network status, block number, timestamp, gas used, base fee, transaction count, batch count, L2 state root, deposits, withdrawals, sync status, and sequencer status. The tool works with any Linea-compatible RPC endpoint.

THE MECHANISM

Linea Network Monitor performs client-side monitoring by querying the Linea RPC endpoint and aggregating state information from various sources. The tool connects to the Linea node and queries chain information including block number, timestamp, gas metrics, and transaction counts. Batch submission data is obtained from the rollup contract or sequencer state. Deposit and withdrawal counts are tracked from bridge contract events and state variables. L1 and L2 state roots are read from the bridge contract storage. Gas oracle state and gas price estimates are fetched from the Linea gas oracle contract. Sync status is determined from the last verified block or checkpoint. Sequencer status is derived from the sequencer's availability and performance. The tool simulates the process of connecting to a Linea node, establishing a client, and querying multiple components efficiently.

WHAT IT CANNOT SEE

Linea Network Monitor cannot verify that the network data is accurate without running a full node, as it relies on the RPC endpoint for data. The tool cannot detect if the network is under active attack or experiencing consensus issues, as that requires monitoring validator behavior and network conditions. It cannot predict future network conditions or performance, as those depend on future events. The tool cannot verify that all reported events are legitimate or complete, as event logs may be filtered. It cannot guarantee that the network will remain stable or responsive, as network conditions may change. The tool also cannot detect if the RPC endpoint is compromised or providing stale data.

Linea Network Monitor supports EVM-compatible chains only. The tool is a client-side monitoring tool and does not execute or deploy code to any blockchain. Network monitoring results are for observation and diagnostics only. The tool is free to use and does not store or transmit any network data off-device. Always verify RPC endpoints from official sources before relying on results.
