About this app

WHAT IT DOES

Liquid Staking Commission Rate Comparator-and-Switcher enables users to compare commission rates, total value locked (TVL), APR, withdrawal fees, and validator performance across multiple liquid staking protocols in a single view. The tool reads protocol contract state—commission/fee rates, reward rates, TVL, and other on-chain metrics—for any number of providers the user enters. It then displays a side-by-side comparison with a ranking score based on commission, APR, and TVL, highlighting the best-performing protocol with a "Best" badge. Optionally, the tool can include the user's current staked positions to provide personalized recommendations.

This tool is essential for liquid staking participants—whether staking ETH, SOL, or other assets—who want to maximize their returns by choosing the protocol with the lowest fees and highest rewards. It provides transparent, data-driven insights into protocol performance and helps users make informed switching decisions.

HOW TO USE

1. Connect your EVM wallet to the network where the protocols are deployed.

2. Enter the protocol contract addresses (one per line) for the liquid staking providers you want to compare (e.g., Lido, Rocket Pool, StakeWise).

3. Optionally toggle "Include your current staked position" to see your stake across protocols.

4. Click "Compare Protocols" to fetch on-chain data and generate the comparison table.

5. Review the comparison table showing each protocol's commission rate, APR, TVL, and overall score.

6. The tool highlights the lowest commission rate, highest APR, and the best overall protocol with a "★ Best" badge.

7. A recommendation is displayed based on the overall score, with personalized advice if your stake is included.

TECHNICAL MECHANISM

The tool reads protocol contract state using standard view functions for liquid staking protocols: commission/fee rates via getCommission() or fee(), TVL via totalValueLocked() or totalSupply(), and reward rates via getRewardRate() or getAPR(). It computes a weighted score for each protocol based on commission (40% weight), APR (30% weight), and TVL (30% weight), with a penalty for high withdrawal fees. The tool displays the comparison table sorted by score, highlights the best performers, and provides a recommendation. The tool is read-only and does not require transaction signing. All data is fetched in real-time from the connected provider.

WHAT IT CANNOT SEE

This tool cannot verify the accuracy of reported commission rates or performance metrics—protocols may report data differently or use off-chain calculations. It cannot predict future commission changes, protocol upgrades, or market conditions that may affect returns. It cannot detect off-chain fee discounts, promotional rates, or loyalty bonuses that may be available to certain users. It cannot account for non-monetary factors such as protocol security, decentralization, community trust, or insurance coverage. It cannot compare protocols across non-EVM chains; the tool is limited to EVM-compatible networks. It cannot validate that the data source is fresh or accurate; stale data may lead to incorrect comparisons. The tool does not execute switching transactions; it only provides comparative data for decision-making.

PLEASE NOTE

EVM chains only. This tool requires that the protocol contracts implement the standard view functions for commission, TVL, and APR. Not all liquid staking protocols use the same ABI—the tool may need to be updated for new providers. The comparison scores are provided for informational purposes and do not constitute financial advice. Always conduct your own research before switching protocols. The tool does not interact with your staked positions unless you explicitly choose to include them for display purposes.
