WHAT IT DOES

Marriott Web Points Balance Badge reads your Marriott Bonvoy points balance and membership tier from your Marriott account and displays a floating points badge on all pages. The badge shows your current points balance with color coding—blue for normal balances and gold for balances over 100,000 points. Your membership tier (Member, Silver, Gold, Platinum, Titanium, or Ambassador) is displayed below the balance. A milestone indicator shows the points needed to reach the next reward milestone (25,000, 50,000, 75,000, 100,000, etc.). When you are within 5,000 points of a milestone, a desktop notification is triggered. The extension tracks points history per month, storing each balance change with a timestamp. The panel displays your current month's points history and changes over time.

WHERE IT RUNS

This extension works on all Marriott pages at marriott.com and its subdomains, specifically on account pages where Bonvoy points balance and tier status are displayed. It runs on the main account page, the Bonvoy dashboard, the profile page, and any page displaying points information. The extension operates entirely within your browser and does not access Marriott's servers directly—it reads only what is visible on the page you are viewing. It works alongside the free BotGentz extension, which provides the necessary scripting environment.

HOW TO USE

Install the extension, then navigate to marriott.com and log in to your account. The extension automatically creates a floating Bonvoy points balance badge on the page. Click the extension's icon in your browser toolbar to open the settings panel. Use the "Show Overlay" / "Hide Overlay" button to toggle the badge visibility. The badge shows your points balance, tier, and milestone progress. Use the "Refresh" button to manually update the badge with the latest points information. The "Show tier status" toggle controls whether the membership tier appears. The "Milestone notifications" toggle controls desktop notifications when you are close to a reward milestone. Adjust the overlay transparency using the opacity dropdown (70%, 82%, 92%, or 100%). Drag the badge by clicking and holding anywhere inside it. Resize it by dragging the bottom-right corner. Close the badge with the × button.

BONVOY POINTS EXTRACTION WITH TIER DETECTION AND MILESTONE CALCULATION

Unlike simple balance display tools, this extension uses a multi-selector extraction engine to find points balance and tier status from Marriott's varying page structures. It searches for points balance using multiple selector patterns (.bonvoy-points, .points-balance, .balance-amount) and falls back to text parsing with number extraction. Tier information is extracted using tier selector patterns and displayed with a medal icon. The milestone calculator uses common Marriott reward milestones (25,000, 50,000, 75,000, 100,000, 150,000, 200,000, 250,000, 300,000, 400,000, 500,000) and finds the next milestone above the current balance. The points-to-next value is displayed on the badge. Monthly points history is stored as a key-value object where keys are year-month strings and values are arrays of points records with timestamps, limited to 20 entries per month.

THE PANEL

The panel supports drag-to-move anywhere on the page. It remembers its position per site, so it stays where you placed it on marriott.com. Click the panel header to collapse it down to just the minimized bubble, or click the expand handle to show the full panel. The panel can be resized by dragging the bottom-right corner. Press the Escape key to close the expanded panel and return to the minimized state. All panel settings, including position, size, collapsed state, opacity, tier visibility, notification preference, and monthly points history, are saved per site and persist across browsing sessions.

PLEASE NOTE

This extension requires the free BotGentz extension to be installed and active, as it provides the underlying DOM injection and script execution environment. Marriott's website changes periodically, and Bonvoy element structures, class names, and page layouts may be updated. When that happens, the extension may stop detecting points data until an update is released. The extension stores your overlay position, size, opacity, visibility, tier visibility, notification preference, and monthly points history locally in your browser's storage using GM_setValue. Points history is stored as a key-value object where keys are year-month strings and values are arrays of points records. The points balance displayed is read from the page—the extension does not access Marriott's internal points data. Always verify with Marriott directly for the most accurate Bonvoy information. No data is ever sent to any server, and no personal information is collected. You can clear all stored settings at any time by clearing your browser data for marriott.com.
