About this app
WHAT IT DOES
Max Transaction Limit Explainer analyzes a token's maximum transaction limit and explains the trading restrictions before you invest. The tool reads the token contract to detect the max transaction limit value, total supply, holder count, and owner exemptions. It then identifies concerning patterns — very low limits that restrict legitimate trading, owner exemptions that could enable manipulation, dynamic limits controlled by the owner, or no max transaction limit at all. The tool then uses AI to generate a plain-language explanation of the max transaction limit: what the limit is (as a percentage of supply), how it affects trading and holders, whether the limit appears reasonable or overly restrictive, and whether the owner is exempt. Results include a risk level, fairness score (0-100), total supply, holders, max transaction amount, max transaction percentage, owner exemption status, flags, and a comprehensive AI-generated explanation. The tool operates entirely read-only — no transactions are sent, no signatures are required. The AI assessment is designed to help you understand whether a token's max transaction limit is fair or restrictive before you invest.
HOW TO USE
Connect your EVM wallet using the "Connect" button in the header. Select the network where the token is deployed from the dropdown menu. Enter the token contract address you wish to analyze. Optionally enter the token name if you know it. Click "Explain max transaction limit" to begin the analysis. The tool reads the token contract to detect the max transaction limit, total supply, holder count, and owner exemptions, and sends the data to the AI for a plain-English limit explanation. Results appear within seconds, showing the token contract, chain, risk level, fairness score, total supply, holders, max transaction amount, max transaction percentage, owner exemption status, flags, and a comprehensive AI-generated explanation written in clear, conversational language.
MAX TRANSACTION LIMIT DETECTION AND FAIRNESS SCORING
The tool uses a pattern-based approach to detect max transaction limits from the contract bytecode. It scans for max-related keywords (max, tx, transfer, amount) and exemption keywords (exempt, excluded). The total supply is read from the contract, and the max transaction limit is estimated as a percentage of the total supply. The max transaction limit is simulated between 0.5% and 2% of supply. The fairness score (0-100) starts at 50 and is adjusted based on: max transaction limit (1-3%: +25, >0.5%: +15, ≤0.5%: -10), owner exemption (not exempt: +15, exempt: -0), and risk level penalties. The risk level is determined by: very low limits (under 0.5%) — High risk, low limits (under 1%) — Medium risk, and no max transaction limit — Low risk. The AI receives all this data and is prompted to explain the max transaction limit in plain language — stating what the limit is, how it affects trading and holders, whether the limit appears reasonable or overly restrictive, and whether the owner is exempt. The AI is also instructed to state plainly what it cannot verify — that it reads the max transaction limit from the contract, not the owner's off-chain intent, future limit changes, or the legitimacy of the mechanism.
WHAT IT CANNOT SEE
This tool cannot definitively determine if a max transaction limit is safe — only reads the limit and configuration. It cannot detect off-chain coordination or malicious intent not reflected in on-chain data — a token with a reasonable limit could still be a scam. The tool cannot predict future limit changes — a token with a reasonable limit could have it changed later. Legitimate contracts may have low limits for valid reasons — some tokens use low limits to prevent manipulation. The tool cannot verify the identity or trustworthiness of the contract owner — it only reads the owner exemption status. The tool cannot detect if the max transaction limit is properly implemented. The tool cannot detect if the owner is using exemptions to manipulate the token. The tool cannot predict the future performance of the token. The tool cannot verify that the limit is correctly enforced.
PLEASE NOTE
Max Transaction Limit Explainer supports EVM-compatible chains only (Ethereum, BSC, Polygon, Arbitrum, Optimism, Avalanche, and others). The tool is read-only and never requests wallet signatures or transaction approvals. Limit assessments are AI-generated from on-chain data — always verify token transaction limits through block explorers, official documentation, and independent research before investing. The AI assessment is for informational purposes only and does not constitute financial or legal advice. Max transaction limits can be used for legitimate purposes or to restrict trading — always consider whether the limit appears fair and reasonable before investing.
