WHAT IT DOES
Max VPN Region Unlocker is a region app that lets you change the perceived geographic location for Max (formerly HBO Max). It switches the region you appear to be browsing from, which unlocks different movies, TV shows, exclusive content, and Max Originals. The app shows you your current browsing region, lets you search for and select a new region, and updates your Max experience to match that location.
WHAT THE REGION CHANGES
When you switch your Max region, you immediately see a different content library. Each country has its own licensing agreements for movies, TV shows, and exclusive content. The app changes which movies, TV shows, exclusive content, and Max Originals are available to browse and stream. It updates region-specific content recommendations, trending lists, localized language options, and region-specific features like content categories and personalized suggestions. The changes affect the discovery of new content, the availability of region-specific shows, and the overall feel of your Max browsing experience.
HOW TO USE
Open the region app from the BotSurf store. It can be used as a panel overlay on top of Max (while you're already browsing) or as a standalone full-frame app. The app displays your current browsing region with a flag and region label in the header. To change your Max region, click the "Change" button in the header or search for a specific region in the search box. Select your desired region from the search results. BotSurf will prompt you to reload the page to apply the new region. After reloading, Max will show you the content library of your selected region. The app also includes a consistency check that compares your browser's time zone, language, and currency settings with your claimed region, helping you understand which signals are mismatched.
WHAT IT CANNOT DO
This app changes your apparent geographic location for Max, but it has clear limits. It cannot bypass Max's account region lock that ties the subscription billing country to the account. It cannot change the language of audio or subtitles beyond what's offered in that region's library. It cannot guarantee access to all titles due to regional licensing agreements that vary by country and change frequently. It cannot affect streaming quality or speed—it only changes the content catalog visible. It cannot unlock content that is not available in any region due to global rights restrictions. It does not make you anonymous online, and it does not hide your activity from your internet service provider.

Max actively detects and blocks traffic that appears to be coming through VPNs or proxy services. Some regions may be blocked or may perform slower than expected. Using a region app may violate Max's terms of service, and access to specific content is not guaranteed due to licensing restrictions. This tool is intended for legitimate use cases such as accessing content you're already entitled to while traveling or exploring catalog availability.
