About this app

WHAT IT DOES Mint Cap Explainer analyzes a token's mint cap and minting risks before you invest. The tool reads the token contract to detect the total supply, max supply/cap, minting functions, current owner/minter, and minting history. It then identifies concerning patterns — no cap, unlimited minting, owner can mint without restrictions, recent large mint events, and minting by suspicious addresses. The tool then uses AI to generate a plain-language explanation of the mint cap: whether there is a cap, what the cap is, how much has already been minted, who can mint, and the risk of supply inflation. Results include a risk level, cap safety score (0-100), total supply, max supply, mint function status, owner/minter status, mint events count, flags, and a comprehensive AI-generated explanation. The tool operates entirely read-only — no transactions are sent, no signatures are required. The AI assessment is designed to help you understand the inflation risk of a token before you invest. HOW TO USE Connect your EVM wallet using the "Connect" button in the header. Select the network where the token is deployed from the dropdown menu. Enter the token contract address you wish to analyze. Optionally enter the token name if you know it. Click "Explain mint cap" to begin the analysis. The tool reads the token contract to detect total supply, max supply, minting functions, owner, and minting history, and sends the data to the AI for a plain-English mint cap explanation. Results appear within seconds, showing the token contract, chain, risk level, cap safety score, total supply, max supply, remaining to mint, mint function status, owner/minter status, mint events, flags, and a comprehensive AI-generated explanation written in clear, conversational language. MINT CAP DETECTION AND RISK SCORING The tool uses a pattern-based approach to detect mint cap risk from the contract bytecode. It scans for mint-related functions (mint) and owner/admin functions (owner, admin). The total supply is read from the contract, and the max supply is estimated based on the presence of a cap. If a mint function exists, the cap safety score is calculated based on the ratio of max supply to total supply: no mint function (+40 points), cap ratio
