NFT Royalty-Aware Buyer watches the current page for NFT listings and detects the creator royalty percentage from page content or on-chain metadata, then automatically applies royalties to the listing price and calculates total buyer cost, displaying a breakdown with alerts when royalties exceed a user-defined threshold. The tool helps you understand the full cost of purchasing NFTs, including the often-overlooked creator royalty fees that can significantly increase the final price.

This tool works on any webpage that displays NFT listings with royalty information, including NFT marketplaces, collection pages, and trading platforms. It automatically detects listing prices and royalty percentages from page content. The script runs on all websites as designated in its match patterns.

HOW TO USE

After installing the BotGentz extension, navigate to any NFT listing page. Click the NFT Royalty-Aware Buyer icon in your browser toolbar or use the keyboard shortcut (Alt+R). The panel will open. Click "Connect Wallet" to connect your real EVM wallet extension—this enables gas price detection and balance checking. The tool will automatically detect the listing price, marketplace, and royalty percentage from the page. Configure your maximum acceptable royalty percentage and alert threshold percentage. Toggle gas cost estimation and high-royalty alerts on or off. Click "Calculate Costs" to update the breakdown. The panel displays the listing price, detected royalty percentage, royalty amount in ETH, gas cost estimate, total buyer cost, and royalty impact percentage. Alerts are triggered when royalties exceed your configured maximum or when royalty impact exceeds your alert threshold.

TECHNICAL SECTION — ROYALTY DETECTION AND COST CALCULATION ENGINE

Unlike basic price calculators that show only the listing price, this tool uses a royalty detection and cost calculation engine. It first scans the page DOM to detect the creator royalty percentage using multiple strategies—identifying royalty-specific text patterns, extracting percentage values from page content, and detecting royalty-related DOM elements. The engine then detects the listing price using similar multi-strategy detection. A comprehensive cost calculation is performed: total cost = listing price + (listing price × royalty percentage) + gas cost. The engine also calculates the royalty impact—the percentage of total cost represented by royalties—providing a clear measure of how much royalties affect the overall purchase price. Results are displayed with ETH formatting, and the alert system flags transactions where royalties exceed user-defined thresholds. This approach provides complete cost transparency for buyers before they commit to a purchase.

THE PANEL

The panel is draggable anywhere on the screen and remembers its position per site. It can snap to the left, right, top, or bottom edges, or float freely. Collapse it to a small status indicator when you need more page visibility, and expand it again with a single click. Resize it vertically or horizontally to show more of the cost breakdown. Press Escape to close the panel instantly. All settings (max royalty, alerts, alert threshold, gas inclusion) are saved globally and persist across sessions.

PLEASE NOTE

This tool requires the free BotGentz extension and a real EVM wallet extension already installed in your browser. EVM chains only—supports Ethereum Mainnet, Polygon, Arbitrum, and Optimism. Wallet connection is read-only; this tool never initiates transactions or signs messages. Cannot detect royalties that are not visible in page content or accessible via contract metadata, cannot accurately determine on-chain royalties without reading contract data, cannot detect royalties on marketplaces that do not display them, and cannot predict future royalty changes. Users must manually verify royalty rates before purchasing. Royalty estimates are approximations; actual royalties may vary based on marketplace policies and contract implementations. Websites change their layouts frequently; scripts may need updates, and we work to keep them current but cannot guarantee uninterrupted operation.
