About this app

WHAT IT DOES

The On-Chain Attestation Issuer enables users to issue verifiable on-chain attestations about subjects. Attestations are cryptographic statements made by an issuer about a subject, stored on-chain for transparency and verifiability. This tool is essential for identity verification, credential issuance, reputation systems, and compliance use cases. It provides a streamlined interface to issue attestations with configurable schema IDs, subject addresses, attestation data, and expiration timestamps.

The tool reads attestation contract state, existing attestations, attestation parameters, schema definitions, issuer address, subject address, attestation data, expiration timestamp, and revocation status. It supports issuing attestations with configurable schema IDs, subject addresses, data strings, and expiration times. The tool handles the necessary approvals and submits the attestation issuance transaction to the attestation contract.

HOW TO USE

1. Connect your wallet using the Connect button. The tool automatically detects your connected address and network.

2. Select the network where your attestation contract is deployed using the network dropdown.

3. Enter the attestation contract address, the schema ID, and the subject address.

4. Enter the attestation data (a string describing the attestation) and optionally set an expiration time in seconds.

5. Configure your slippage tolerance percentage for the issuance transaction.

6. Click "Load contract" to verify the contract exists and check the issuer details.

7. Review the attestation details in the preview panel including contract, schema ID, subject, issuer, data, and expiration.

8. Click "Issue Attestation" to submit the attestation issuance transaction through your wallet.

9. The tool will issue the attestation and record it on-chain.

TECHNICAL MECHANISM

The tool interacts with the attestation contract's issuance function, which typically takes the schema ID, subject address, attestation data, and expiration as parameters. Before issuing, the tool verifies that the caller is authorized to issue attestations (if the contract has permission controls). The issuance function then records the attestation on-chain, storing the issuer address, subject address, schema ID, data, issuance timestamp, expiration timestamp, and revocation status. The attestation is cryptographically signed by the issuer's wallet, providing verifiable proof of authenticity. The tool displays the issuer address and attestation details before execution. The issuance history records the transaction hash and attestation details.

WHAT IT CANNOT SEE

This tool cannot verify that the price feed is accurate or reliable; it relies on the attestation contract's internal state. It cannot detect if the oracle has been compromised or manipulated. It cannot ensure that attestation issuance will execute at the optimal price due to slippage, market volatility, and block timing. It cannot guarantee that attestation will succeed if the attestation contract is paused or frozen. It cannot verify that the attestation contract has not been upgraded or modified. It cannot detect if the issuance path is optimal or if the transaction is being front-run by malicious actors. It cannot recover funds if execution fails due to contract bugs, insufficient approvals, out-of-gas errors, or blockchain reorgs. It cannot verify that the attestation data is accurate or truthful—the tool only records what the issuer provides. It cannot predict market movements, price gaps, or flash crashes that may affect issuance. It cannot guarantee execution during extreme network congestion, high gas prices, or volatile market conditions. It cannot detect if the underlying attestation protocol has been compromised. It cannot prevent the user from canceling or modifying attestation parameters through other interfaces. It cannot ensure that attestations are issued only to legitimate subjects. It cannot guarantee that attestations will be recognized or accepted by third parties. It cannot verify the off-chain truth of the attestation content.

PLEASE NOTE

This tool is designed for EVM-compatible blockchains (Ethereum, Polygon, Arbitrum, Optimism, Base, BSC, Avalanche, Fantom, and others). It requires an active wallet connection and sufficient native currency for gas fees. Always verify the attestation contract address, schema ID, subject address, and attestation data before executing. The issuer is the connected wallet address—ensure you have the authority to issue attestations for the given schema. The tool is provided as-is with no warranty; users assume full responsibility for their transactions and should exercise caution when issuing on-chain attestations. For mainnet usage, ensure the attestation contract has been audited and you understand the legal and reputational implications of issuing attestations.
