WHAT IT DOES

The On-Chain Credential Revoker enables users to revoke previously issued on-chain credentials. Revocation is a critical feature of credential systems, allowing issuers to invalidate credentials that are no longer valid, have expired, or were issued in error. This tool provides a streamlined interface to revoke credentials with configurable credential IDs, subject addresses, and optional revocation reasons.

The tool reads attestation/credential contract state, existing credentials, credential parameters, issuer address, subject address, credential ID, revocation status, and expiration timestamp. It supports revoking credentials by specifying the credential ID and subject address. The tool verifies that the credential exists and is not already revoked before allowing revocation. It also checks that the caller is authorized to revoke the credential (typically the original issuer or an admin).

HOW TO USE

1. Connect your wallet using the Connect button. The tool automatically detects your connected address and network.

2. Select the network where your credential contract is deployed using the network dropdown.

3. Enter the credential contract address, the credential ID, and the subject address.

4. Optionally enter a revocation reason (e.g., "Credential expired" or "Issued in error").

5. Configure your slippage tolerance percentage for the revocation transaction.

6. Click "Load credential" to verify the credential exists and is currently active.

7. Review the credential details in the preview panel including contract, credential ID, issuer, subject, data, and status.

8. Click "Revoke Credential" to submit the revocation transaction through your wallet.

9. The tool will update the credential's status to revoked on-chain.

TECHNICAL MECHANISM

The tool interacts with the credential contract's revocation function, which typically takes the credential ID and subject address as parameters. Before revoking, the tool reads the credential state to verify that the credential exists, is not already revoked, and that the caller is authorized to revoke it (usually the original issuer or an admin). The revocation function then updates the credential's status to revoked on-chain, recording the revocation timestamp and optional reason. The tool displays the updated status and revocation details after successful execution. The revocation history records the transaction hash, credential ID, and revocation reason.

WHAT IT CANNOT SEE

This tool cannot verify that the price feed is accurate or reliable; it relies on the credential contract's internal state. It cannot detect if the oracle has been compromised or manipulated. It cannot ensure that credential revocation will execute at the optimal price due to slippage, market volatility, and block timing. It cannot guarantee that revocation will succeed if the credential contract is paused or frozen. It cannot verify that the credential contract has not been upgraded or modified. It cannot detect if the revocation path is optimal or if the transaction is being front-run by malicious actors. It cannot recover funds if execution fails due to contract bugs, insufficient approvals, out-of-gas errors, or blockchain reorgs. It cannot verify that the credential being revoked actually belongs to the subject. It cannot predict market movements, price gaps, or flash crashes that may affect revocation. It cannot guarantee execution during extreme network congestion, high gas prices, or volatile market conditions. It cannot detect if the underlying credential protocol has been compromised. It cannot prevent the user from canceling or modifying revocation parameters through other interfaces. It cannot ensure that only authorized issuers can revoke credentials. It cannot guarantee that revoked credentials will be recognized as invalid by third parties. It cannot verify the reason for revocation.
