WHAT IT DOES

Paper Size Converter helps you compare and convert paper sizes between ISO standards (A-series, B-series, C-series) and North American standards (Letter, Legal, Tabloid, Ledger, Executive, Half Letter). Select any two paper sizes and see their dimensions in millimeters, inches, or pixels at your chosen DPI (72-600). The tool displays width, height, and aspect ratio for each size. A complete size chart shows all supported paper sizes with their dimensions, making it easy to find the right size for printing, design, or document formatting.

WHERE IT RUNS

The extension runs entirely within your browser's local environment using the BotGentz framework. All paper size conversion, dimension calculation, and chart rendering occur on your machine without any network requests. No paper size data, conversion results, or user activity is ever transmitted, uploaded, or stored externally. The tool works on any website and respects the browser's security boundaries, operating within the isolated extension sandbox. Paper size conversion uses standard ISO and North American dimensions.

HOW TO USE

Click the extension toolbar icon to open the Paper Size Converter panel. Select a paper size from the "From" dropdown and the "To" dropdown. Choose the unit preference (Millimeters, Inches, or Pixels). The conversion result appears instantly if auto-convert is enabled. Click "Convert" to manually trigger a conversion. Click "Swap Sizes" to exchange the from and to sizes. Click "Copy Result" to copy the conversion result to your clipboard. Toggle "Auto convert" to enable or disable real-time conversion. Toggle "Show size chart" to display a complete reference chart of all supported paper sizes with their dimensions. Adjust the DPI setting (72-600) to control pixel calculations. The tool updates automatically when you change settings.

THE PAPER SIZE CONVERSION ENGINE — WHY IT WORKS

Most paper size converters only show a single conversion or lack comprehensive size charts. This tool uses a dimensional database of over 30 paper sizes from ISO (A0-A8, B0-B6, C0-C6) and North American standards (Letter, Legal, Tabloid, Ledger, Executive, Half Letter). Each size is stored with its width and height in millimeters. The conversion engine converts dimensions to the selected unit: inches (divided by 25.4), or pixels (multiplied by DPI / 25.4). The aspect ratio is calculated as width divided by height. The size chart displays all sizes grouped by series (ISO A, ISO B, ISO C, North American) with their dimensions in the selected unit. This comprehensive approach makes it easy to compare paper sizes across different standards.

THE PANEL

The Paper Size Converter panel is fully draggable by its title bar and remembers its position on screen per website. It snaps to the edges of your browser window for clean alignment. Collapse the panel to a compact icon strip using the minimize button, restoring it with a single click. Resize the panel by dragging any edge or corner; the input area, unit selectors, result display, and size chart adjust proportionally. Press the Escape key to close the panel instantly. The panel maintains independent state for each browser tab, allowing you to compare paper sizes in multiple tabs simultaneously.

PLEASE NOTE

This extension requires the free BotGentz extension framework to be installed and enabled. The tool supports ISO A, B, and C series, and North American standards. Dimensions are based on standard sizes; slight variations may exist between manufacturers. Pixel calculations depend on the DPI setting; the default is 72 DPI for screen display. The size chart displays all supported sizes; scroll to view the complete list. All conversion data is processed locally and is never transmitted, logged, or shared. The extension requests no network permissions and functions entirely offline. The source code is fully auditable and available for review.
