Perpetual Position Auto-Close at Target

WHAT IT DOES

Perpetual Position Auto-Close at Target watches the current perpetual trading page for the user's wallet address and open position, reads the user's position data (size, entry price, collateral, leverage, current price) from the perpetual contract on-chain, monitors current price against the configured target close price, calculates the current profit/loss and percentage return, detects when the position reaches the target price, and displays alerts with position details, current P&L, and closing recommendations when the target is hit. The tool connects to the user's wallet via window.ethereum, reads the user's position data from the perpetual contract, calculates the current profit/loss percentage, compares against configured profit and loss targets, and triggers alerts when targets are reached.

WHERE IT RUNS

The tool runs as a panel inside your browser on GMX perpetual trading pages at https://app.gmx.io/*. It works on GMX trading pages where the user has an open position. The tool connects to your real EVM wallet extension (MetaMask, WalletConnect, or any wallet injecting window.ethereum) to read on-chain data via eth_call and the ethers library loaded at runtime. No data is sent to any external server; all reads happen directly from the blockchain through your wallet provider.

HOW TO USE

Install the BotGentz extension, navigate to GMX, open a perpetual position, and open the Perpetual Position Auto-Close at Target panel. Set your profit target percentage (default 20%) — the tool will alert you when your position reaches this profit level. Set your loss target percentage (default 10%) — the tool will alert you when your position reaches this loss level. Set your maximum acceptable gas price in Gwei (default 50). Toggle "Auto-check on page load" if you want the tool to analyze automatically when you open the panel. Click "Monitor Position" — the tool reads your position data from the perpetual contract, calculates the current P&L percentage, compares against your configured targets, and displays a comprehensive tracking dashboard with real-time P&L updates. When a target is reached, the tool triggers an alert with the position details and closing recommendations. The position monitor updates automatically every 15 seconds. Click "Refresh" to manually update the position data.

MECHANISM — PERPETUAL POSITION TRACKING WITH TARGET PRICE DETECTION

This tool uses a perpetual position tracking engine that monitors open positions and detects target price levels. The system first connects to window.ethereum and requests the user's wallet address. It detects the token and position details from the perpetual contract via eth_call, reading the position size, entry price, collateral, and leverage. The tool calculates the current profit/loss percentage using the formula: P&L% = ((currentPrice - entryPrice) / entryPrice) * 100. It compares this value against the user's configured profit target and loss target. The urgency classification uses a multi-tier system: PROFIT TARGET (P&L ≥ profit target), LOSS TARGET (P&L ≤ -loss target), or WATCH (P&L within target range). Recommendations are generated based on the position status, helping users make informed decisions about closing positions.

THE PANEL

The BotGentz panel is fully draggable, allowing you to position it anywhere on your screen without obstructing the GMX interface. It includes per-site position memory, so the panel returns to your preferred location each time you visit the exchange. Snap-to-edge functionality lets you dock the panel to any side of the browser window. The panel collapses to a compact icon when not in use and expands with a single click. You can resize it to your preferred dimensions, and pressing the Escape key instantly closes the panel. All interactions are smooth and intuitive, designed to work alongside your trading workflow.

This tool requires the free BotGentz extension and a real EVM wallet extension (such as MetaMask) already installed in your browser. EVM chains only — currently supports Ethereum mainnet and compatible networks. This is a monitoring and alert tool only — it does not execute close transactions automatically. The tool cannot guarantee that the displayed price or P&L match the exact moment of execution due to price changes. It cannot account for slippage or price impact during execution. It cannot read position data from perpetual protocols other than GMX. It cannot predict price movements or target achievement timing. It cannot read private wallet information or trading intentions. All blockchain reads are performed directly through your wallet provider; no data is stored or transmitted beyond your browser. Websites change their layouts and content structures regularly; while we continuously update the extraction logic, some pages may require script updates. Always verify all position details, P&L calculations, and target levels independently before taking any action based on the dashboard.
