About this app

WHAT IT DOES

Phone Number Extractor scans the current page's HTML source and visible text to find every phone number in multiple formats. The tool supports US numbers (with or without area code), international numbers, E.164 format, and numbers with various separators (dashes, dots, spaces, parentheses). Each extracted number is normalized to a consistent format with only digits and the plus sign, making it easy to use in contact systems. The tool shows each number with its country code badge and optional surrounding context. A detailed breakdown shows total count and the number of phone numbers per country code. Copy your numbers in plain text or CSV format.

WHERE IT RUNS

The extension runs entirely within your browser's local environment using the BotGentz framework. All text scanning, number extraction, and processing occur on your machine without any network requests. No page content, phone number data, or user activity is ever transmitted, uploaded, or stored externally. The tool works on any website and respects the browser's security boundaries, operating within the isolated extension sandbox.

HOW TO USE

Click the extension toolbar icon to open the Phone Number Extractor panel. Click "Extract Numbers" to scan the current page and display all found phone numbers in the preview panel. Each number shows its normalized format, country code badge, and optional surrounding context. Use the "Copy Numbers" button to copy all extracted numbers to your clipboard in the selected format. Change the output format using the dropdown (Plain Text or CSV). Toggle "Remove duplicates" to eliminate repeated numbers. Toggle "Sort alphabetically" to organize the list. Toggle "Include context" to show the surrounding text where each number was found. Use the "Country code" field to filter numbers by country code (e.g., +1 for US/Canada, +44 for UK). Adjust the "Minimum digits" setting to ignore very short numbers. The preview panel updates instantly when you change any setting.

THE PHONE NUMBER EXTRACTION ENGINE — WHY IT WORKS

Most phone number extractors use simple regex patterns that miss many valid formats or capture false positives like dates or IDs. This tool uses a multi-pattern approach covering US formats (with and without area code, with various separators), international formats (E.164 with + and country code), and local formats with leading zeros. Each pattern is tuned to match realistic phone number structures while avoiding common false positives. After extraction, each number is normalized by removing all non-digit characters except the leading plus sign, producing a consistent format. The country code detection extracts the leading digits after the plus sign or identifies US numbers based on length. The deduplication engine ensures each unique normalized number appears only once. The minimum length filter helps eliminate false positives like short numeric sequences. This comprehensive approach ensures accurate extraction across a wide variety of number formats.

THE PANEL

The Phone Number Extractor panel is fully draggable by its title bar and remembers its position on screen per website. It snaps to the edges of your browser window for clean alignment. Collapse the panel to a compact icon strip using the minimize button, restoring it with a single click. Resize the panel by dragging any edge or corner; the number preview and controls adjust proportionally. Press the Escape key to close the panel instantly. The panel maintains independent state for each browser tab, allowing you to extract numbers from multiple tabs simultaneously.

PLEASE NOTE

This extension requires the free BotGentz extension framework to be installed and enabled. The tool extracts phone numbers from the page source and visible text; numbers obfuscated with JavaScript or presented as images may be missed. Some numbers may be misidentified; manual verification is recommended for critical applications. All phone number data is extracted locally and is never transmitted, logged, or shared. The extension requests no network permissions and functions entirely offline. The source code is fully auditable and available for review.
