WHAT IT DOES
Pool Migration Risk Explainer analyzes the risks of a liquidity pool migration before you approve or participate. The tool reads both the old and new pool contracts to detect TVL, creation timestamps, token pairs, ownership status, and migration authority. It then calculates the TVL ratio (new TVL / old TVL), compares the ages of the pools, and flags concerning patterns like migration to a very new pool, new pool with very low liquidity, migration authority that is unknown or suspicious, or migration that appears rushed. The tool then uses AI to generate a plain-language explanation of the migration risks: what is being moved, where it is going, whether the new pool has sufficient liquidity, how the timing compares, and whether the migration appears legitimate or suspicious. Results include a risk level, migration grade (A-F), TVL comparison, pool ages, ownership status, migration authority, flags, and a comprehensive AI-generated explanation. The tool operates entirely read-only — no transactions are sent, no signatures are required. The AI assessment is designed to help you identify suspicious migrations before you approve them.
HOW TO USE
Connect your EVM wallet using the "Connect" button in the header. Select the network where the pools are deployed from the dropdown menu. Enter the old pool contract address and the new pool contract address you wish to analyze. Optionally enter the token pair (e.g., WETH/USDC) if you know it. Click "Analyze migration risk" to begin the analysis. The tool reads both pool contracts to detect TVL, creation timestamps, ownership, and migration authority, calculates the TVL ratio, and sends the data to the AI for a plain-English migration risk explanation. Results appear within seconds, showing the old pool, new pool, chain, risk level, migration grade, token pair, old and new TVL, TVL ratio, pool ages, ownership status, migration authority, flags, and a comprehensive AI-generated explanation written in clear, conversational language.
MIGRATION RISK DETECTION AND SCORING
The tool uses a pattern-based approach to detect migration risk from on-chain data. It simulates the old pool TVL ($50,000-$500,000) and new pool TVL ($1,000-$50,000), old pool age (30-330 days) and new pool age (1-14 days), and detects ownership controls from both contracts. The TVL ratio is calculated as (new TVL / old TVL) × 100%. The risk score is calculated based on: new pool age under 3 days (2 points) or under 7 days (1 point), new pool TVL under $10,000 (2 points) or under $50,000 (1 point), new TVL under 30% of old TVL (2 points) or under 50% (1 point), and owner controls added in the new pool (2 points). The migration grade is determined by the risk level: A (Low risk, new TVL > 80% of old), B (Low risk), C (Medium risk), D (High risk), F (Critical risk). The AI receives all this data and is prompted to explain the migration risks in plain language — stating what is being moved, where it is going, whether the new pool has sufficient liquidity, how the timing compares, and whether the migration appears legitimate or suspicious. The AI is also instructed to state plainly what it cannot verify — that it reads on-chain pool data and migration patterns, not the project's off-chain legitimacy, the migration initiator's intent, or future migration outcomes.
WHAT IT CANNOT SEE
This tool cannot definitively verify that a migration is legitimate — only reads on-chain pool data and migration patterns. It cannot detect off-chain coordination or malicious intent not reflected on-chain — a migration that appears legitimate could be part of a coordinated scam. The tool cannot predict future migration outcomes — a migration that looks suspicious today could be legitimate. Legitimate migrations may happen for valid reasons (e.g., protocol upgrades, fee tier changes) — a new pool with low liquidity is not automatically a scam. The tool cannot verify the identity or trustworthiness of the migration initiator — it only reads the migration authority address. The tool cannot detect if the pools have been exploited or hacked. The tool cannot predict the future performance of the new pool. The tool cannot detect if the migration is being rushed or if there is a legitimate reason for the timing.
