It identifies the key changes in the privacy policy or data handling notice, then generates a well-structured reply that acknowledges receipt of the update, confirms understanding of the key changes, and optionally asks specific clarifying questions or states any preferences regarding the new policies. You can choose between a concise or detailed style, review the draft in the panel, edit it as needed, and copy it for use in your email client or response form.

This tool operates as a panel within the BotGentz browser extension, available for Chrome, Firefox, Edge, and Brave. It works on any webpage displaying privacy policy updates, data handling changes, user notices, or similar privacy-related content. Common sources include company websites, software platforms, service provider portals, and legal notice pages.

HOW TO USE

Navigate to any page that displays a privacy policy update, data handling change, or user notice. Open the BotGentz extension and select Privacy Update Reply Drafter from the tool menu. The panel will appear on the side of your browser. Enter your full name and email address in the provided fields (these are stored locally for future use). Optionally, enter any clarifying questions or preference statements. Select your preferred style (concise or detailed) from the dropdown menu. Click the "Draft Reply" button to analyze the current page content. The tool extracts the relevant privacy update details and sends them along with your information to the AI for processing. Within moments, you will receive a polite, clear reply in the panel. Review the draft, make any edits directly in the panel, and click the copy button to save it to your clipboard for use in your email client.

TECHNICAL SECTION — PRIVACY POLICY AND NOTICE EXTRACTION

This tool uses a specialized pipeline trained on privacy policy and user notice communication patterns. First, it performs a hierarchical DOM traversal that prioritizes content blocks containing privacy indicators such as "privacy policy," "data handling," "user notice," "update," "change," "effective date," "data collection," "user rights," "opt-out," "consent," and "preferences." Second, it extracts candidate passages using a context-aware sliding window that captures both the notice text and surrounding structural markers (section headings, effective dates, summary points). Third, a trained classifier assigns each passage a probability score for being part of a privacy update context using features like privacy language frequency ("privacy," "data," "policy," "update," "change," "effective"), section markers, and user action indicators. Fourth, the system applies semantic clustering to group related content into two core categories: the key changes in the policy and any user action items. Finally, the structured clusters, combined with the user's provided information (name, email, questions, preferences, and style preference), are passed to the AI model with a constrained prompt that instructs it to generate a complete reply with standardized sections (acknowledgment, understanding confirmation, optional questions or preferences, and polite closing), reducing hallucination and ensuring a professional, contextually appropriate draft.

THE PANEL

The side panel is designed for seamless integration into your browsing workflow. You can drag it to either side of the window, and it remembers your preferred position per website. It supports snap-to-edge behavior and can be collapsed to a small tab for minimal distraction. The panel is resizable horizontally and vertically, with a minimum width of 280px and maximum of 600px. Pressing the Escape key closes the panel. All settings are saved locally.

AI-generated replies are for assistance only and should be reviewed for accuracy and appropriateness before sending, as interpretations may occasionally miss policy nuances or misread the notice context. Websites change their privacy page formats frequently, and extraction scripts may need periodic updates; we strive to keep the pattern library current. This tool does not store or transmit page content except for the extracted text sent to the AI API; your personal information (name, email) is stored locally in your browser and is only sent to the AI as part of the draft generation. No browsing history or personal data is collected or retained. Subscription billing is monthly and can be canceled at any time.
