About this app
WHAT IT DOES
This tool enables efficient batch distribution of public goods funding to projects, builders, and community initiatives on Optimism. Retroactive public goods funding (RetroPGF), grant programs, and ecosystem development funds often need to distribute varying amounts to multiple recipients based on impact assessments, community votes, or governance decisions. Instead of processing individual distributions manually, you provide a list of project addresses with their specific funding amounts, and the tool executes a single batched transaction using the BotGentz ERC-20 bulk sender contract. Each project receives its exact funding allocation in one efficient operation. The tool checks your wallet balance and native currency balance to ensure sufficient funds before initiating the distribution, providing a safety net against failed transactions.
HOW TO USE
Connect your wallet using the BGWallet bridge. Select Optimism as your network (other EVM chains are also supported). Enter the ERC-20 token contract address representing the funding token. Add projects by entering their address and the funding amount (in wei) they are entitled to receive — you can add as many rows as needed. Click "Parse" to validate the project list and see the total funding amount. Click "Check balances" to verify you have sufficient tokens and native currency to cover the total plus the bulk sender fee. Review the sender contract address, fee, and owner in the review panel. Click "Distribute funding" to approve the exact total and execute the batch transfer to all projects in a single transaction.
TECHNICAL MECHANISM
The tool looks up the BotGentz bulk sender contract from the BULKSEND registry for Optimism and uses the ERC-20 standard contract. It reads fee() and owner() live from the contract every time — never using hardcoded values. It constructs parallel arrays of project addresses and their corresponding funding amounts, then calculates the total distribution sum. It checks your token balance against the total amount and your native balance against the total plus fee. If the allowance is insufficient, it approves the sender contract for the exact total amount only. It then calls sendERC20() with the project list and custom amounts array, paying the fee in native currency. Gas is estimated with a 20% buffer, and the final cost is reported using receipt.effectiveGasPrice for accuracy on post-EIP-1559 chains. All projects receive their funding in a single batched transaction, dramatically reducing gas costs compared to individual transfers.
WHAT IT CANNOT SEE
This tool cannot verify that the public goods funding amounts are correct, community-approved, or based on valid impact assessments. It does not detect if project addresses are contracts, exchanges, sybils, duplicates, or ineligible parties. It cannot verify token security, contract safety, or the legitimacy of the bulk sender contract beyond the registry provided. The tool does not validate the authenticity of the public goods criteria, impact metrics, community voting results, or any governance documentation. You are responsible for ensuring the project list and amounts are accurate and properly authorized before executing the distribution. This tool is for operational efficiency only and does not provide financial, governance, or legal verification.
PLEASE NOTE
EVM chains only. Optimism is the primary network, but Ethereum, Arbitrum, BNB Chain, Polygon, Fantom, zkSync, Base, Avalanche, and Linea are also supported. Does not support Solana, Tron, Starknet, SUI, TON, Aptos, Bitcoin, Cosmos, or XRP. Requires a wallet connected via BGWallet. Gas costs and the bulk sender fee are paid by your wallet. Always verify project lists and funding amounts independently before signing the transaction. This tool is not a substitute for governance or legal verification.
