About this app
WHAT IT DOES
Return Rate Calculator scans order and return pages across e-commerce and CRM platforms, extracting total orders, total returns, return reasons, return costs, and refund amounts. The tool calculates the return rate percentage (returns as a percentage of total orders), return cost per order, and the total revenue impact of returns (refunds plus return costs). Results are displayed with trend indicators showing whether the return rate is above or below your target benchmark, along with a breakdown of return reasons to help identify the most common causes of returns.
WHERE IT RUNS
This userscript runs inside major e-commerce and CRM platforms including Amazon, Shopify, BigCommerce, Salesforce, HubSpot, and Zoho in your browser, powered by the free BotGentz extension. It operates entirely on the page you are viewing — it does not send your order data anywhere else. All data extraction and return rate calculations happen locally in your browser. The script works on order history pages, return management pages, and reporting dashboards.
HOW TO USE
Install the BotGentz extension, then install this userscript from the BotGentz catalogue. Navigate to an order or return management page on any supported platform. Configure your settings — set your currency symbol, target return rate benchmark, and choose whether to include refund costs in the analysis. Click "Save Settings" to persist your configuration, then "Scan Page" to extract order and return data. The tool displays total orders, total returns, return rate with color-coded status, refund totals, return costs, revenue impact, return cost per order, and a breakdown of return reasons. Click "Copy Results" to export the full return analysis to your clipboard.
HOW IT WORKS UNDER THE HOOD
The script uses a multi-strategy extraction approach to identify order and return data across different platforms. It first attempts to locate order and return counts using common text patterns like "Total orders", "Returns", "Refunds", and "Return cost". If those fail, it scans for order and return tables using selectors like table.order-table, .return-table, and [data-testid="orders-list"], counting rows that contain order or return keywords. The script also extracts return reasons from page text and tables, aggregating them into a frequency breakdown. The return rate is calculated as total returns divided by total orders multiplied by 100. The revenue impact is calculated as the sum of refund amounts and return costs. All calculations are performed locally and displayed in real time with color-coded indicators.
THE PANEL
The tool runs in the BotGentz panel, a draggable floating interface that stays on top of the page. You can drag the panel by its header, collapse it to a small bubble, and resize it. The panel remembers its position per site, so it stays where you left it when you return to your platform. Press Escape to close the panel when you are done. The panel includes settings for currency, target return rate, and refund inclusion, a results section showing the return rate analysis, and action buttons for scanning and copying.
PLEASE NOTE
This tool requires the free BotGentz extension to run. E-commerce and CRM platforms frequently update their interfaces — if the tool stops working, check for an updated version or report the issue. All data stays in your browser and is never sent to any external server. The tool works only on the current page; to analyze data from multiple pages, scan each page individually. The tool extracts visible data only and cannot access data not loaded on the current page. Return rate calculations are estimates based on visible order and return data and should be verified against your platform's official analytics for accuracy. The tool does not modify your data — it only reads and displays information.
