About this app

WHAT IT DOES

RSS Feed Digest Summarizer is a writing tool that analyzes RSS feed items, blog posts, and article listings from any webpage, then generates a concise digest summary of the feed. It identifies the most important or interesting items, key themes or topics across the feed, and any notable updates or trends, then produces a clear, easy-to-read digest that captures the essential content of the feed. You can choose between a brief or detailed digest length, review the digest in the panel, edit it as needed, and copy it for your reference, for sharing with colleagues, or for use in your own content.

WHERE IT RUNS

This tool operates as a panel within the BotGentz browser extension, available for Chrome, Firefox, Edge, and Brave. It works on any webpage displaying RSS feed items, blog posts, article listings, or similar feed content. Common sources include RSS readers, blog aggregators, news sites, and content management platforms.

HOW TO USE

Navigate to any page that displays an RSS feed, blog posts, or article listings. Open the BotGentz extension and select RSS Feed Digest Summarizer from the tool menu. The panel will appear on the side of your browser. Select your preferred digest length (brief or detailed) from the dropdown menu. Click the "Generate Digest" button to analyze the current page content. The tool extracts the relevant feed items and sends them to the AI for processing. Within moments, you will receive a concise feed digest in the panel. Review the digest, make any edits directly in the panel, and click the copy button to save it to your clipboard for your reference.

TECHNICAL SECTION — RSS FEED AND ARTICLE EXTRACTION

This tool uses a specialized pipeline trained on RSS feed and content aggregation communication patterns. First, it performs a hierarchical DOM traversal that prioritizes content blocks containing feed indicators such as "RSS," "feed," "blog," "post," "article," "item," "title," "summary," "update," "trend," and "listing." Second, it extracts candidate passages using a context-aware sliding window that captures both the feed data and surrounding structural markers (titles, summaries, publication dates, categories). Third, a trained classifier assigns each passage a probability score for being part of an RSS feed context using features like feed language frequency ("RSS," "feed," "blog," "post"), article markers, and update indicators. Fourth, the system applies semantic clustering to group related content into three core categories: the most important or interesting items, key themes or topics, and notable updates or trends. Finally, the structured clusters, combined with the user's length preference, are passed to the AI model with a constrained prompt that instructs it to generate a concise digest covering the key categories, reducing hallucination and ensuring accurate, contextually appropriate insights.

THE PANEL

The side panel is designed for seamless integration into your browsing workflow. You can drag it to either side of the window, and it remembers your preferred position per website. It supports snap-to-edge behavior and can be collapsed to a small tab for minimal distraction. The panel is resizable horizontally and vertically, with a minimum width of 280px and maximum of 600px. Pressing the Escape key closes the panel. All settings are saved locally.

PLEASE NOTE

This tool requires the free BotGentz extension and an active subscription to access the AI summarization feature. AI-generated feed digests are for assistance only and should be reviewed for accuracy before relying on them, as interpretations may occasionally miss feed nuances or misread item context. Websites change their RSS page formats frequently, and extraction scripts may need periodic updates; we strive to keep the pattern library current. This tool does not store or transmit page content except for the extracted text sent to the AI API. No browsing history or personal data is collected or retained. Subscription billing is monthly and can be canceled at any time.
