About this app
WHAT IT DOES
The Runway Extension Swap Executor enables DAOs to extend their treasury runway by swapping volatile assets to stablecoins based on current burn rate metrics. Runway extension is a critical treasury management strategy that helps DAOs maintain operational stability by ensuring sufficient stablecoin reserves to cover ongoing expenses. This tool provides a streamlined interface to execute runway-extending swaps with configurable amounts and burn rate-based calculations.
The tool reads treasury runway metrics, token balances, current prices, stablecoin protocol states, swap parameters, burn rate data, and runway duration. It calculates the potential runway extension based on the swap amount and current burn rate, displaying the estimated additional months of operational runway. The tool handles the necessary approvals and executes the swap through the configured DEX router.
HOW TO USE
1. Connect your wallet using the Connect button. The tool automatically detects your connected address and network.
2. Select the network where your treasury and DEX are deployed using the network dropdown.
3. Enter the DAO treasury address, the source token address (volatile asset), and the stablecoin target address.
4. Enter the amount to swap and the current monthly burn rate in USD.
5. Enter the DEX router address and configure your slippage tolerance percentage.
6. The tool displays the estimated runway extension in months based on the swap amount and burn rate.
7. Click "Load treasury" to verify the treasury exists and has sufficient balance.
8. Review the runway details in the preview panel including treasury, source token, stablecoin, swap amount, burn rate, and estimated extension.
9. Click "Extend Runway" to submit the swap transaction through your wallet.
10. The tool will handle token approvals (if required) and execute the swap.
TECHNICAL MECHANISM
The tool interacts with the DEX router's swap function to convert volatile assets to stablecoins. Before executing, it calculates the estimated stablecoin yield based on the swap amount and current market conditions. The runway extension is calculated by dividing the estimated stablecoin value by the monthly burn rate. The tool verifies the treasury's balance of the source token and approves the router contract to spend the required amount. The swap function then executes the trade, and the resulting stablecoins are added to the treasury. The tool updates the runway extension display based on the actual swap result.
WHAT IT CANNOT SEE
This tool cannot verify that the price feed is accurate or reliable; it relies on the DEX's on-chain pricing. It cannot detect if the oracle has been compromised or manipulated. It cannot ensure that runway extension swap will execute at the optimal rate due to slippage, market volatility, and block timing. It cannot guarantee that conversion will succeed if liquidity is insufficient. It cannot verify that the stablecoin protocol has not been upgraded or modified. It cannot detect if the swap path is optimal or if the transaction is being front-run by malicious actors. It cannot recover funds if execution fails due to contract bugs, insufficient approvals, out-of-gas errors, or blockchain reorgs. It cannot verify that the stablecoin is legitimate or not a depeg risk. It cannot predict market movements, price gaps, or flash crashes that may affect conversion value. It cannot guarantee execution during extreme network congestion, high gas prices, or volatile market conditions. It cannot detect if the underlying DEX protocol has been compromised. It cannot prevent the user from canceling or modifying swap parameters through other interfaces. It cannot ensure that the resulting runway extension is sufficient or accurately calculated. It cannot guarantee that the stablecoin will maintain its peg.
PLEASE NOTE
This tool is designed for EVM-compatible blockchains (Ethereum, Polygon, Arbitrum, Optimism, Base, BSC, Avalanche, Fantom, and others). It requires an active wallet connection and sufficient native currency for gas fees. Always verify the treasury address, token addresses, router address, and swap parameters before executing. The burn rate should be accurate for meaningful runway calculations. The tool is provided as-is with no warranty; users assume full responsibility for their transactions and should exercise caution when extending runway. For mainnet usage, ensure the DEX router has been audited and you understand the risks of treasury swaps including slippage, gas costs, and smart contract risks.
