WHAT IT DOES

Santiment Metric Fetcher provides comprehensive read-only access to Santiment's market intelligence platform. Retrieve social sentiment data including sentiment scores, social volume, mentions, engagement rates, sentiment changes, and top keywords from social media. Access on-chain metrics such as daily active addresses, transaction volume, average transaction value, token age consumed, realized value, and network value transfer. View development activity metrics including GitHub commits, code changes, developer counts, active repositories, and development activity scores. Fetch MVRV (Market Value to Realized Value) ratios with z-scores, realized price, market price, and NVT ratios. Access network metrics including throughput, block size, block time, total transactions, unique addresses, and network growth. View whale activity data including whale transactions, whale volume, top holder counts, and concentration indices. Access exchange flow metrics including net flow, exchange balances, inflow/outflow, and flow signals. Retrieve trading signal data including bull/bear scores, signal strength, trading signals, confidence levels, and accuracy history. This is an essential tool for traders, analysts, and researchers who need to evaluate market conditions and on-chain behavior.

HOW TO USE

1. Connect your Web3 wallet (Ethereum, Polygon, Arbitrum, Optimism, BSC, or any EVM-compatible chain).

2. Select the network that matches your target chain from the dropdown.

3. Enter an asset slug in the input field (e.g., "ethereum", "bitcoin", "uniswap").

4. Choose the metric type you want to fetch: social sentiment, on-chain metrics, development activity, MVRV ratio, network metrics, whale activity, exchange flow, or trading signals.

5. Click "fetch metrics" to retrieve the data from Santiment's API.

6. Review the results displayed in a structured format showing key metrics with appropriate formatting.

7. Use the "copy JSON" button to export the complete data for further analysis or integration.

TECHNICAL MECHANISM

Santiment Metric Fetcher interacts with Santiment's API endpoints to retrieve market intelligence data. The tool constructs API requests using the provided asset slug and metric type, leveraging Santiment's standardized data structures. For social sentiment, the tool queries sentiment endpoints that aggregate and normalize social media data from Twitter, Reddit, and Telegram. For on-chain metrics, it accesses blockchain data endpoints that process and aggregate transaction data. For development activity, it queries GitHub integration endpoints that track code contributions and developer activity. The tool parses the JSON responses and transforms them into a user-friendly display format, automatically detecting and formatting numeric values, percentages, and sentiment labels. Whale activity data is presented with concentration indices and transaction counts. Exchange flow metrics show net flow with positive/negative indicators. Trading signal data includes signal strength and confidence levels. The tool handles different response structures gracefully and provides clear feedback during the fetch operation. All data is normalized and presented consistently regardless of the asset or metric type.

WHAT IT CANNOT SEE

This tool is a frontend for the Santiment API — it does not validate data accuracy, verify completeness, or detect inconsistencies between Santiment's data and actual market conditions. The tool cannot guarantee that data has been updated recently or that sentiment scores reflect current market sentiment. It cannot validate on-chain data aggregation methodology or ensure that all assets have complete metric coverage. The tool cannot detect if Santiment's data sources have been compromised or if there are errors in the sentiment aggregation algorithms. All data is presented as provided by Santiment — if the API returns incomplete, outdated, or incorrect information, this tool will display it without warning. The tool cannot predict market movements or provide real-time data beyond Santiment's update frequency. It cannot fetch data for assets not covered by Santiment's platform or for non-EVM chains.

PLEASE NOTE

Santiment Metric Fetcher supports EVM-compatible blockchains only (Ethereum Mainnet, Goerli, Polygon, Arbitrum One, Optimism, BNB Smart Chain, and others via network selection). The tool requires a Santiment API key — in this implementation, it uses a simulated key for demonstration purposes. For production use, you must provide your own Santiment API key. The tool never submits transactions or signs messages; it is strictly read-only. Data fetch performance depends on Santiment's API response times and your network connection. Some assets may have limited metric coverage depending on Santiment's data availability and the specific metric type requested.
