HOW TO USE

Connect your wallet to the tool and select the network where your Scroll L2 validator is active. Enter the validator identity or address in the input field. Enter the Scroll L2 RPC endpoint. Click "Validate" to connect to the Scroll L2 network and retrieve the validator's operational state. The tool will query the network for validator identity, voting power, stake balance, self-stake, commission, delegations, uptime, block proposer status, jail status, epoch, and finalization status. Results are displayed in organized cards showing validator status, identity, voting power, stake, self-stake, commission, delegations, uptime, block proposer status, jail status, epoch, and finalization status. The tool works with any Scroll L2 validator accessible via RPC endpoint.

THE MECHANISM

Scroll L2 Validator performs client-side simulation of validator monitoring by aggregating state information from the Scroll L2 network. The tool connects to the specified RPC endpoint and queries validator information including identity, stake, and voting power. Validator commission and delegation amounts are read from the staking contract. Uptime is calculated from recent block signing activity. Block proposer status is determined from recent block headers. Jail status is read from the slashing module. Epoch and slot information are obtained from consensus state. Finalization status is derived from checkpoint data. L1 and L2 state roots are read from the bridge contract. The tool simulates the process of connecting to a Scroll L2 node, establishing a client, and querying multiple components efficiently.

WHAT IT CANNOT SEE

Scroll L2 Validator cannot verify that the validator is actually following the protocol or behaving honestly, as that requires monitoring validator behavior and consensus. The tool cannot detect if the validator is misbehaving or censoring transactions, as that requires transaction tracing. It cannot prove that the validator's stake is correctly bonded without running a full node. The tool cannot predict validator performance or uptime, as those depend on future conditions. It cannot guarantee that the validator will remain operational or responsive, as network conditions may change. The tool also cannot detect if the RPC endpoint is compromised or providing stale data.

Scroll L2 Validator supports EVM-compatible chains only. The tool is a client-side monitoring tool and does not execute or deploy code to any blockchain. Validator validation results are for observation and diagnostics only. The tool is free to use and does not store or transmit any validator data off-device.
