WHAT IT DOES
Sequencer Fee Payment Tool is a non-custodial tool that pays sequencer fees to compensate sequencers for ordering and including transactions in rollup batches, ensuring transaction processing priority. It reads sequencer fee contract state, user address, token balances, fee parameters, fee rate, fee calculation method, transaction type, priority level, batch size, fee accumulation, user's fee payment history, sequencer address, payment window, and fee token approval status to structure the optimal fee payment operation. With a single transaction, it calls paySequencerFee(), executeFeePayment(), or submitFeePayment() on the target contract, paying a fee to the sequencer for processing priority. The tool supports different priority levels (low, medium, high) with corresponding fee rates, enabling users to choose the right balance between cost and speed for their transactions.
HOW TO USE
1. Connect your wallet (EVM-compatible on L1 or L2).
2. Paste the sequencer fee contract address and sequencer address.
3. Optionally specify a token address (leave empty for native currency).
4. Enter the fee amount, optional transaction ID, and priority level.
5. Review the current fee rate and payment window status.
6. Click "pay sequencer fee" and confirm the transaction in your wallet.
The tool automatically handles token approvals if using an ERC-20 token. After the transaction confirms, your fee payment is recorded on-chain—no centralized custody, no intermediaries. The sequencer can then prioritize your transaction based on the fee paid and priority level.
TECHNICAL MECHANISM: MULTI-FUNCTION FALLBACK WITH AUTO-APPROVAL
Unlike simple transaction builders that assume a single function signature, this tool implements a multi-function fallback strategy. It first attempts paySequencerFee(), then falls back to executeFeePayment() or submitFeePayment() if the primary method fails—automatically adapting to different contract implementations without requiring the user to know the exact function name. For all on-chain reads, it uses chunked block range scanning that halves on failure, preventing the common "eth_getLogs limit exceeded" error that halts most scanners on public RPCs. It double-verifies approval status by checking the current allowance from storage, rather than relying on historical Approval events—because an event log proves an approval happened, not that it still stands. Gas estimation uses receipt.effectiveGasPrice for accurate post-EIP-1559 cost accounting, and all batched operations are sequential with concurrency caps to avoid nonce conflicts. The tool also validates that the fee amount meets the minimum required for the selected priority level and checks that the payment window is open before execution.
WHAT IT CANNOT SEE
This tool cannot verify that the sequencer fee contract is legitimate or has not been compromised. It cannot detect if the fee structure has been manipulated. It cannot ensure that fee payment will execute at the optimal gas price due to network conditions. It cannot guarantee that fee payment will succeed if the contract is paused or frozen. It cannot verify that the contract has not been upgraded or modified. It cannot detect if the trade path is optimal or not front-run. It cannot recover funds if execution fails due to contract bugs or insufficient approval. It cannot verify that the fee amount is correct or not. It cannot predict market movements, price gaps, or flash crashes. It cannot guarantee execution during extreme network congestion or volatile market conditions. It cannot detect if the underlying rollup has been compromised. It cannot prevent the user from canceling or modifying payment parameters. It cannot ensure that the sequencer will prioritize the transaction. It cannot protect against loss if fee is paid for a transaction that fails. It cannot verify that the payment will be applied to the correct transaction. It cannot guarantee that the sequencer will include the transaction in the next batch. It cannot ensure that fee rates will remain stable.
