WHERE IT RUNS

The extension runs entirely within your browser's local environment using the BotGentz framework. All shoe size conversion, chart rendering, and formatting occur on your machine without any network requests. No shoe size data, conversion results, or user activity is ever transmitted, uploaded, or stored externally. The tool works on any website and respects the browser's security boundaries, operating within the isolated extension sandbox. Shoe size conversion uses standard sizing tables.

HOW TO USE

Click the extension toolbar icon to open the Shoe Size Converter panel. Select the gender (Men, Women, or Children) from the dropdown. Enter a shoe size in the input field. Select the "From" unit (US, UK, EU, or CM) and the "To" unit. The conversion result appears instantly if auto-convert is enabled. Click "Convert" to manually trigger a conversion. Click "Copy Result" to copy the conversion result to your clipboard. Toggle "Auto convert" to enable or disable real-time conversion. Toggle "Show size chart" to display a complete size comparison table for the selected gender. The chart highlights the from and to units for easy reference. The tool supports half sizes and uses accurate conversion tables for all three categories.

THE SHOE SIZE CONVERSION ENGINE — WHY IT WORKS

Most shoe size converters use simplified formulas that often give incorrect results. This tool uses comprehensive sizing tables based on international standards for men, women, and children. Each gender has its own set of sizes for US, UK, EU, and CM. The engine first validates the input size against the from-unit sizes for the selected gender, finding the closest match (within 0.3). It then returns the corresponding size from the to-unit's size array. This table-based approach ensures accuracy because shoe sizes don't follow simple linear formulas—they vary by gender and sizing system. The CM (Japan) sizes are based on foot length in centimeters. The size chart renders the full table for the selected gender, showing all four sizing systems in a clear grid format. This approach provides accurate, reliable shoe size conversions.

THE PANEL

The Shoe Size Converter panel is fully draggable by its title bar and remembers its position on screen per website. It snaps to the edges of your browser window for clean alignment. Collapse the panel to a compact icon strip using the minimize button, restoring it with a single click. Resize the panel by dragging any edge or corner; the input area, unit selectors, result display, and size chart adjust proportionally. Press the Escape key to close the panel instantly. The panel maintains independent state for each browser tab, allowing you to convert shoe sizes in multiple tabs simultaneously.

This extension requires the free BotGentz extension framework to be installed and enabled. The tool provides approximate conversions based on standard sizing tables; actual sizes may vary by brand and style. The CM (Japan) sizes are based on foot length in centimeters. The size chart displays all sizes for the selected gender; scroll to see the complete table. The auto-convert feature triggers on every input event; disabling it can improve performance. All conversion data is processed locally and is never transmitted, logged, or shared. The extension requests no network permissions and functions entirely offline. The source code is fully auditable and available for review.
