WHAT IT DOES

Social Media Scheduler Queue Overlay provides a comprehensive real-time view of your scheduled social media posts across all connected platforms. The script reads post data from your scheduler dashboard—including content, scheduled times, platforms, media types, and engagement metrics—then displays everything in a compact, scrollable overlay. Each post shows a live countdown timer to its scheduled time with color-coded urgency indicators: red for posts within 1 hour, orange for 6 hours, yellow for 12 hours, and green for 24 hours. Posts are grouped by platform with count badges for quick scanning. A density chart visualizes your posting schedule at a glance, showing busy periods and gaps so you can balance your content distribution. The overlay includes powerful filtering by platform and urgency, helping you focus on what needs immediate attention.

WHERE IT RUNS

This script operates on all major social media scheduling platforms including Buffer, Hootsuite, Sprout Social, Later, Planoly, Tailwind, CoSchedule, Publer, Vista Social, and SocialBee. It works on dashboard pages, queue views, calendar interfaces, and scheduled post lists. The script automatically detects which platform you're using and adapts its extraction logic accordingly.

HOW TO USE

After installing through the BotGentz extension, navigate to your social media scheduler dashboard. The overlay appears automatically, displaying all upcoming scheduled posts. Use the configuration panel to customize your experience: toggle the overlay on or off, enable or disable countdown timers, control color-coded urgency, group posts by platform, and show or hide the density chart. Use the platform checkboxes to filter posts by specific social networks, or use urgency filters to focus on posts scheduled within the next hour, 6 hours, 12 hours, or 24 hours. Click any post in the overlay to scroll to its location on the page and highlight it for easy editing. The panel also shows real-time statistics including total posts, upcoming count, posts in the next hour, and number of active platforms.

PLATFORM-ADAPTIVE POST EXTRACTION WITH REAL-TIME COUNTDOWN ENGINE

This script implements a sophisticated extraction engine that maintains distinct parsing strategies for each supported scheduling platform. The engine uses platform-specific CSS selectors to locate scheduled posts, content text, scheduled times, platform identifiers, media attachments, and engagement metrics. For Buffer and Hootsuite, it targets queue items with specific data attributes; for Later and Planoly, it parses grid-based post layouts; for CoSchedule and Publer, it extracts from calendar and list views. After extraction, a real-time countdown engine calculates the minutes until each scheduled time and updates the display every minute, applying urgency classification based on configurable thresholds. The density chart uses histogram binning to show posting distribution over the upcoming period, helping identify scheduling gaps or overcrowded time slots.

THE PANEL

The configuration panel is fully draggable and remembers its position per-site using GM_setValue. It snaps to screen edges when dragged near them, collapses to a compact bubble when minimized, and supports Escape key for quick collapse. All settings—including overlay visibility, countdowns, urgency coloring, platform grouping, density charts, and auto-refresh interval—are persisted across sessions.

The script reads only publicly visible post data displayed on your dashboard and does not access hidden fields, passwords, or sensitive information. All extracted data stays local in your browser and is never transmitted to external servers.
