About this app

WHAT IT DOES

Staking Derivative Redeemer connects to any EVM-based staking derivative contract and enables you to redeem your derivative tokens back into staked assets with a single click. The tool reads comprehensive contract state including user's derivative token balance, staked token address, derivative token address, redemption rate, redemption fee, current block timestamp, redemption history, validator list, reward rate, and unbonding period. It then displays your derivative balance, redeemed staked amount, redemption rate, redemption fee, unbonding period, and the tokens involved. When you have a derivative token balance and enter a valid amount, the tool enables a one-click redemption transaction. The tool handles multiple redemption function signatures (redeemDerivative, burnStakingToken, executeRedemption) and automatically detects the correct function to call. After submission, the tool displays the transaction hash and refreshes the contract data to show the updated balances and unbonding status. This is ideal for users who want to exit derivative positions and reclaim their staked assets.

HOW TO USE

Connect your Web3 wallet (MetaMask, WalletConnect, or any EIP-1193 provider). Select the correct network for your staking derivative contract — the tool supports Ethereum, Polygon, Arbitrum, Optimism, Base, Avalanche C-Chain, and BNB Chain. Paste your staking derivative contract address into the input field. The tool reads the contract using a default ABI that covers standard derivative redemption functions, but you can paste a custom ABI if your contract uses non-standard naming. Enter the amount of derivative tokens you want to redeem back to staked tokens. Review the displayed data carefully: your derivative balance, redeemed staked amount, redemption rate, redemption fee, unbonding period, derivative token address, staked token address, and redemption status. The status indicator will show "Active" when the contract is operational, "Redeemed" after successful redemption, "Pending" while processing, or "Ready" when you are eligible to redeem. When you have a derivative balance and have entered a valid amount, the "Redeem derivative" button becomes enabled. Click it to submit the redemption transaction — the tool will show a confirmation dialog with all details, submit the transaction, and wait for confirmation. After successful execution, the contract data refreshes automatically to show your updated balances and the start of the unbonding period if applicable.

THE REAL MECHANISM

This tool does not assume a single redemption interface — it adapts to the contract's actual implementation. It first detects the correct redemption function by testing common names (redeemDerivative, burnStakingToken, executeRedemption) through static calls, falling back to the user-provided name if none are found. For redemption data, the tool reads derivativeBalance(yourAddress) to check your available derivative holdings, stakedAmount(yourAddress) to display your current staked position, redemptionRate() to show the current exchange rate, redemptionFee() to display the fee percentage, unbondingPeriod() to show the waiting time after redemption, derivativeToken() and stakedToken() to identify the assets involved, and redeemStatus() to determine the current state (0=active, 1=redeemed, 2=pending, 3=ready). When you execute the redemption, the tool calls the contract's redemption function with the amount you specify, which burns your derivative tokens and converts them back into the underlying staked position at the current redemption rate. All transaction parameters are estimated using eth_estimateGas and sent with the wallet's preferred gas strategy. The tool monitors the transaction receipt and extracts the effectiveGasPrice to display actual gas cost, not the cap.

WHAT IT CANNOT SEE

Staking Derivative Redeemer cannot verify that the redemption will complete successfully or that the redemption rate will remain stable during the process. It cannot detect if the redemption rate has been changed without notice or if the rate calculation is accurate. It cannot guarantee that the underlying staked tokens will be available for redemption or that the unbonding period will be honored. It cannot ensure that the staking derivative contract has not been upgraded, modified, or paused by its owner. It cannot prevent the protocol from pausing, adjusting, or cancelling redemption at any time. It cannot recover funds if the redemption transaction fails due to contract bugs, out-of-gas errors, or network conditions. It cannot verify that the withdrawal queue position is accurately represented or that the unbonding period is correctly applied. It cannot detect if the staking derivative contract is malicious, contains hidden fee structures, or has been deployed by an untrusted party. It cannot validate that the redemption rate is correctly calculated or that the fee is appropriate. It cannot predict when the redemption will complete or if the staked tokens will be released on time.

PLEASE NOTE — EVM CHAINS ONLY

This tool works exclusively with EVM-compatible blockchains. Non-EVM chains are not supported. The tool does not deploy contracts, manage private keys, or sign anything outside the connected wallet's secure environment. It is a read-and-execute interface that relies entirely on the staking derivative contract's implementation and the redemption logic defined therein. Always verify the staking derivative contract address and redemption rate directly on-chain before redeeming.
