About this app
WHAT IT DOES
This tool analyzes oracle price feed staleness risk and explains it in plain English. It reads the latest price and timestamp, heartbeat interval and configuration, last update timestamp and age, update frequency and consistency, historical update patterns, price deviation from market, contract dependencies on the feed, deviation threshold settings, recent price volatility, time since last update in blocks, oracle provider type and configuration, and the number of data sources and aggregation method. The AI layer translates these on-chain metrics into a clear, actionable staleness assessment — describing the time since the last update, the configured heartbeat interval, the age of the price relative to market conditions, and any contract dependencies on this feed. This helps you identify stale or soon-to-be-stale oracle feeds that could lead to liquidations, failed transactions, or manipulation vulnerabilities.
HOW TO USE
Connect your wallet, select the network, and paste the oracle price feed address you want to investigate. Enter the configured heartbeat interval and select the oracle provider. The tool will analyze the feed's update age, heartbeat configuration, and contract dependencies, then display the results alongside an AI-generated plain-English staleness risk assessment. No transaction is required — this is a read-only operation. The AI analysis is generated from the exact data the tool reads, ensuring the guidance is grounded in what the chain actually shows.
TECHNICAL MECHANISM
The tool performs view calls to fetch the price feed configuration and the latest price update timestamp. It calculates the age of the price by comparing the current block timestamp with the last update timestamp, and compares this against the configured heartbeat interval to determine if the feed is stale or approaching staleness. It evaluates update frequency and consistency by analyzing historical update patterns, and checks for price deviation from market by comparing on-chain prices to reference data. The tool also identifies contract dependencies on the feed and analyzes deviation threshold settings and recent price volatility. All calculations are performed against the current block state, and the AI prompt is constructed entirely from the actual read results — never from assumptions — ensuring the staleness assessment is grounded solely in what the feed actually shows. All reads are performed through the connected wallet's provider.
WHAT IT CANNOT SEE
This tool cannot definitively determine if a price feed is stale or compromised — it only reads on-chain price feed configuration and update timestamps. It cannot detect off-chain source downtime or manipulation. It cannot predict when the next update will occur. It cannot verify the security of oracle infrastructure or node operators. It cannot detect manipulation of aggregated data across multiple sources. Timestamp analysis depends on block time which may vary. It cannot account for market events that occurred during the staleness period. The AI analysis is generated from the data the tool reads and should be treated as informational, not as a guarantee of feed freshness or safety.
PLEASE NOTE
EVM chains only. Analysis is AI-generated from data the app reads on-chain — always review what you are actually signing in your wallet before approving it. This tool is read-only and never initiates transactions.
