About this app
WHAT IT DOES
State Farm Web Agent Contact Overlay reads agent contact information from your State Farm account page and displays a floating agent contact overlay showing your agent's name, phone number, office hours, and office location. The overlay provides quick contact buttons—Call, Email, and Directions—that let you contact your agent with a single click. The Call button opens your phone dialer, the Email button opens your email client, and the Directions button opens Google Maps with your agent's office address. The extension tracks contact history per session, storing when you view or contact your agent. The panel displays your agent's contact information and recent contact history.
WHERE IT RUNS
This extension works on all State Farm pages at statefarm.com and its subdomains, specifically on account pages where agent contact information is displayed. It runs on the main account page, the agent information page, the dashboard, and any page displaying agent details. The extension operates entirely within your browser and does not access State Farm's servers directly—it reads only what is visible on the page you are viewing. It works alongside the free BotGentz extension, which provides the necessary scripting environment.
HOW TO USE
Install the extension, then navigate to statefarm.com and log in to your account. The extension automatically creates a floating agent contact overlay on the page. Click the extension's icon in your browser toolbar to open the settings panel. Use the "Show Overlay" / "Hide Overlay" button to toggle the badge visibility. The overlay shows your agent's name, phone number, and office hours. Click the Call button to call your agent, the Email button to send an email, or the Directions button to get directions to the office. Use the "Refresh" button to manually update the overlay with the latest agent information. The "Show office hours" toggle controls whether office hours appear. Adjust the overlay transparency using the opacity dropdown (70%, 82%, 92%, or 100%). Drag the overlay by clicking and holding anywhere inside it. Resize it by dragging the bottom-right corner. Close the overlay with the × button.
AGENT CONTACT EXTRACTION WITH QUICK ACTION BUTTONS AND CONTACT HISTORY
Unlike simple contact display tools, this extension uses a multi-selector extraction engine to find agent contact information from State Farm's varying page structures. It searches for agent name using multiple selector patterns (.agent-name, .contact-name, .agent-title) and falls back to text parsing. Phone numbers are extracted using phone selectors and cleaned to remove formatting for dialing. Email addresses are extracted from email selectors. Office hours and addresses are extracted from their respective selectors. Quick action buttons are dynamically generated based on available contact methods—Call button for phone numbers, Email button for email addresses, and Directions button for addresses. Contact history is stored as an array of records with agent name, phone, email, and timestamp, limited to 20 entries. The office hours toggle controls visibility of hours in the overlay.
THE PANEL
The panel supports drag-to-move anywhere on the page. It remembers its position per site, so it stays where you placed it on statefarm.com. Click the panel header to collapse it down to just the minimized bubble, or click the expand handle to show the full panel. The panel can be resized by dragging the bottom-right corner. Press the Escape key to close the expanded panel and return to the minimized state. All panel settings, including position, size, collapsed state, opacity, office hours visibility, and contact history, are saved per site and persist across browsing sessions.
PLEASE NOTE
This extension requires the free BotGentz extension to be installed and active, as it provides the underlying DOM injection and script execution environment. State Farm's website changes periodically, and agent element structures, class names, and page layouts may be updated. When that happens, the extension may stop detecting agent information until an update is released. The extension stores your overlay position, size, opacity, visibility, office hours preference, and contact history locally in your browser's storage using GM_setValue. Contact history is stored as an array of records with agent name, phone, email, and timestamp. The agent information displayed is read from the page—the extension does not access State Farm's internal agent data. Always verify with State Farm directly for the most accurate agent contact information. No data is ever sent to any server, and no personal information is collected. You can clear all stored settings at any time by clearing your browser data for statefarm.com.
