About this app

WHAT IT DOES

The Streamed Payment Top-Up Tool enables addition of funds to existing payment streams. It reads comprehensive state from stream and token contracts including stream ID, stream balance, remaining balance, top-up history, payee and payor addresses, stream rate, stream duration, total streamed amount, claimed amount, top-up eligibility, top-up limits, platform fees, stream parameters, payment token, minimum and maximum top-up amounts, and stream status. Users can top up streams using multiple methods: topUpStream for standard funding, addFunds for direct addition, extendStream for duration extension, or replenishStream with force option. The tool displays stream balance, remaining balance, top-up eligibility, and top-up history, providing full visibility before adding funds to payment streams.

HOW TO USE

Connect your Web3 wallet and paste the stream contract address and payment token contract address. The tool never hardcodes addresses—you specify the contracts you're vouching for. Enter the stream ID, select the top-up method, and specify the top-up amount. Optionally provide custom top-up data, check "Approve token spending" to handle approvals automatically, or "Force top-up" to bypass eligibility checks. Click "Fetch stream state" to view payor, payee, stream balance, remaining balance, stream status, top-up eligibility, platform fee, and top-up history. Review the displayed stream balance and eligibility carefully—topping up adds funds to the stream for continued payments. Click "Top up stream" to submit the top-up transaction. Transaction status, gas costs, and confirmation are displayed upon completion.

MECHANICAL ADVANTAGE: DUAL-CONTRACT STATE AGGREGATION WITH TOP-UP HISTORY DISCOVERY

Unlike hardcoded stream tools that only read from a single contract, this tool simultaneously aggregates state from both stream and token contracts, fetching seven different data points in parallel using Promise.all with individual error boundaries. This ensures that a revert in one view function doesn't prevent retrieval of other critical metrics. The tool automatically discovers top-up history by iterating through top-up event indices until it hits empty entries (capped at 10 for performance), displaying payor addresses, amounts, and status for full transparency. The tool dynamically selects the appropriate top-up method based on user input—topUpStream for standard, addFunds for direct addition, extendStream for duration extension, and replenishStream with force. Gas estimation factors in top-up method complexity and amount, and the tool uses receipt.effectiveGasPrice post-transaction for accurate cost reporting rather than relying on the pre-EIP-1559 gasPrice cap. Stream balances, remaining balances, and top-up limits are displayed prominently, enabling informed top-up decisions.

WHAT IT CANNOT SEE

This tool cannot verify that the stream contract or token contract is legitimate or has not been compromised. It cannot detect if the top-up parameters have been manipulated or if the contracts have been upgraded or modified. Top-up may not execute at optimal gas price due to network conditions or succeed if the contract is paused or frozen. The tool cannot recover funds if execution fails due to contract bugs or insufficient approval. It cannot verify that top-up parameters are valid, predict gas prices during congestion, or detect if the top-up has been front-run. The tool cannot ensure that the stream will be sufficiently funded, provide financial, legal, or tax advice, guarantee that payments will be processed correctly, verify off-chain stream details, ensure that all conditions for top-up are met, or track top-up status outside of the tool. Top-ups add funds to streams but do not guarantee future payments—streams depend on continued funding and contract functionality.

PLEASE NOTE

This tool operates on EVM-compatible chains only. It reads from and writes to stream and token contracts but provides no financial, legal, or tax advice. All top-up decisions remain your responsibility. Always verify contract addresses, stream IDs, and top-up amounts before submitting transactions. The tool displays current state but does not automatically top up—you must review and confirm each transaction through your wallet. Gas costs vary by network conditions; the tool estimates but cannot guarantee optimal pricing. Top-up limits may be enforced by the contract—ensure your amount is within the allowed range. Understanding the stream's remaining balance and payment rate helps determine appropriate top-up amounts to maintain uninterrupted payments.
