About this app

WHAT IT DOES

The Subscription NFT Renewal Tool enables users to renew subscription NFTs when their validity period is about to expire. Subscription NFTs are used for memberships, access passes, and time-limited digital assets that grant holders ongoing benefits or access to services. This tool provides a streamlined interface to renew subscription NFTs by paying the renewal fee and extending the NFT's expiration date, preventing loss of access or benefits.

The tool reads NFT subscription state, token metadata, subscription parameters, renewal terms, payment token, subscription owner, subscription status, user address, token IDs, renewal frequency, and expiry timestamp. It displays comprehensive NFT details before renewal, allowing users to verify they are renewing the correct NFT. The tool supports configurable renewal amounts and durations, and handles the necessary token approvals for ERC-20 payments.

HOW TO USE

1. Connect your wallet using the Connect button. The tool automatically detects your connected address and network.

2. Select the network where your subscription NFT contract is deployed using the network dropdown.

3. Enter the subscription NFT contract address and the NFT token ID you want to renew.

4. Enter the payment token address (use 0x0 for native token) and the renewal amount.

5. Set the renewal duration in days (how long the new validity period should be).

6. Configure your slippage tolerance percentage for the renewal transaction.

7. Click "Load NFT" to view the current NFT details including owner and expiry date.

8. Review the NFT details in the preview panel including contract, token ID, owner, expiry, renewal amount, and duration.

9. Click "Renew NFT" to submit the renewal transaction through your wallet.

10. The tool will handle token approvals (if required) and renew the NFT.

TECHNICAL MECHANISM

The tool interacts with the subscription NFT contract's renewal function, which typically takes the token ID, payment token, renewal amount, and duration as parameters. Before renewing, the tool reads the NFT's current state to display the owner and expiry timestamp. The renewal function validates that the caller is the NFT owner or an authorized address, checks that the NFT is not permanently expired, processes the payment (transferring tokens from the user to the contract), and updates the NFT's expiry timestamp by adding the renewal duration. The tool verifies the user's token balance and approves the contract to spend the required amount if using ERC-20 tokens. After successful renewal, the NFT's validity is extended for the specified duration.

WHAT IT CANNOT SEE

This tool cannot verify that the price feed is accurate or reliable; it relies on the NFT contract's internal state. It cannot detect if the oracle has been compromised or manipulated. It cannot ensure that renewal will execute at the optimal price due to slippage, market volatility, and block timing. It cannot guarantee that renewal will succeed if the NFT has already expired beyond the grace period. It cannot verify that the subscription NFT contract has not been upgraded or modified. It cannot detect if the payment path is optimal or if the transaction is being front-run by malicious actors. It cannot recover funds if execution fails due to contract bugs, insufficient approvals, out-of-gas errors, or blockchain reorgs. It cannot verify that the payment token is legitimate or not a honeypot contract. It cannot predict market movements, price gaps, or flash crashes that may affect renewal value. It cannot guarantee execution during extreme network congestion, high gas prices, or volatile market conditions. It cannot detect if the underlying payment protocol has been compromised. It cannot prevent the user from canceling or modifying renewal parameters through other interfaces. It cannot ensure that renewal is economically optimal or that gas costs do not exceed the renewal value. It cannot guarantee that the NFT will be renewed before expiry.

PLEASE NOTE

This tool is designed for EVM-compatible blockchains (Ethereum, Polygon, Arbitrum, Optimism, Base, BSC, Avalanche, Fantom, and others). It requires an active wallet connection and sufficient native currency for gas fees. Always verify the subscription NFT contract address, token ID, and renewal parameters before executing. For ERC-20 payments, ensure you have approved sufficient tokens for the renewal fee. The tool is provided as-is with no warranty; users assume full responsibility for their transactions and should exercise caution when renewing subscription NFTs. For mainnet usage, ensure the NFT contract has been audited and you understand the risks of renewal including expired grace periods and smart contract risks.
