About this app

WHAT IT DOES

The Token Standard Migration Tool enables users to migrate tokens from one token standard to another (ERC-20, ERC-721, ERC-1155). Token standard migrations are essential when protocols upgrade from ERC-20 to more advanced standards like ERC-721 for NFTs or ERC-1155 for multi-token support, or when migrating from deprecated token contracts to new, improved implementations. This tool handles the entire migration process including token approvals, batch processing, and standard-specific requirements.

The tool reads old token contract state, new token contract state, token balances, user address, token allowances, migration parameters, token standard type (ERC20/ERC721/ERC1155), position details, token IDs, migration history, and approval status. It supports migrating single tokens, multiple tokens, or entire balances. For ERC-721 and ERC-1155 standards, the tool handles token IDs individually, allowing users to select which specific tokens to migrate.

HOW TO USE

1. Connect your wallet using the Connect button. The tool automatically detects your connected address and network.

2. Select the network where your tokens are located. The tool checks the BotGentz sender contract registry for the current chain.

3. Enter the old token contract address and the new token contract address.

4. Select the token standard (ERC-20, ERC-721, or ERC-1155) that applies to both contracts.

5. Enter the amount to migrate (0 for all) and the token ID (for ERC-721 and ERC-1155 migrations).

6. Configure your slippage tolerance percentage for the migration.

7. Click "Preview migration" to verify the migration details.

8. Review the migration details in the preview panel including both token contracts, standard, amount, and token ID.

9. Click "Execute Migration" to submit the migration transaction through your wallet.

10. The tool will handle approvals and execute the migration with appropriate batching for multiple tokens.

TECHNICAL MECHANISM

The tool uses the BotGentz shared sender contract to execute token standard migrations with batch support. First, it reads the user's token balance from the old contract and verifies the amount to migrate. For ERC-20 tokens, it handles amount-based migration. For ERC-721 and ERC-1155, it processes individual token IDs and supports batch migration of multiple tokens. The tool approves the sender contract for the exact amount or token IDs before initiating the migration. The migration then calls the appropriate function on the new contract (mint, safeTransferFrom, or batchTransfer) to create the equivalent tokens under the new standard. The tool supports different migration paths: ERC-20 to ERC-721, ERC-20 to ERC-1155, ERC-721 to ERC-1155, and within the same standard.

WHAT IT CANNOT SEE

This tool cannot verify that the price feed is accurate or reliable; it relies on the token contracts' internal state. It cannot detect if the oracle has been compromised or manipulated. It cannot ensure that migration will execute at the optimal price due to slippage, market volatility, and block timing. It cannot guarantee that migration will complete successfully if the new token contract has not been audited or contains bugs. It cannot verify that the contracts have not been modified beyond the intended migration. It cannot detect if the swap path is optimal or if the transaction is being front-run by malicious actors. It cannot recover funds if execution fails due to contract bugs, insufficient approvals, out-of-gas errors, or blockchain reorgs. It cannot verify that tokens being moved are legitimate or not honeypot contracts. It cannot predict market movements, price gaps, or flash crashes that may affect migration value. It cannot guarantee execution during extreme network congestion, high gas prices, or volatile market conditions. It cannot detect if the new token standard has been compromised. It cannot prevent the user from canceling or modifying migration parameters through other interfaces. It cannot ensure that migration is economically optimal or that gas costs do not exceed the migration value. It cannot guarantee that the new token contract will honor all previous states or that token balances will be accurately preserved during the migration.

PLEASE NOTE

This tool is designed for EVM-compatible blockchains supported by the BotGentz sender contract (Ethereum, Polygon, Arbitrum, Optimism, Base, BSC, Avalanche, Fantom, and others). It requires an active wallet connection and sufficient native currency for gas fees. Always verify the old and new token contract addresses, token standard, and migration parameters before executing. Batch migrations may incur higher gas costs. The tool is provided as-is with no warranty; users assume full responsibility for their transactions and should exercise caution when migrating token standards. For mainnet usage, ensure both token contracts have been audited and you understand the risks of token standard migration including potential loss of tokens.
