WHAT IT DOES

Track Supply Chain on VeChain enables you to track products through the supply chain using VeChain's blockchain technology. VeChain is a leading enterprise blockchain platform designed for supply chain management, providing transparent, immutable, and verifiable product tracking. This tool takes a product identifier or tracking ID and a supply chain contract address, then retrieves the complete event history for that product from the blockchain. It displays the product's journey through the supply chain, including creation, manufacturing, shipping, transit, delivery, quality checks, and other events, along with timestamps and participant addresses. This is essential for supply chain transparency, product provenance verification, quality assurance, and consumer trust. The tool provides clear output showing the product ID, current status, and a chronological list of all supply chain events.

HOW TO USE

Connect your wallet using the BGWallet connector (required for context). Enter the supply chain contract address that manages product tracking on VeChain. Enter the product identifier or tracking ID (e.g., "PROD-001"). Click "Track Product" to retrieve the product's supply chain history. The tool displays the product ID, current status, the number of events found, and a detailed list of all supply chain events with timestamps and participant information. You can copy the event history to your clipboard for further analysis. The result includes a detailed breakdown showing the product's complete journey through the supply chain.

TECHNICAL MECHANISM

This tool implements supply chain tracking by querying a VeChain-compatible supply chain contract. The tracking process: (1) the product identifier is validated; (2) the supply chain contract is queried using the product identifier; (3) the contract returns the complete event history for the product; (4) each event includes the event type, timestamp, participant address, and additional data; (5) the events are displayed in chronological order. The blockchain provides a permanent, tamper-proof record of the product's journey. All computation is performed locally in the browser with data fetched from the blockchain for verification.

WHAT IT CANNOT SEE

This tool cannot verify the physical product's condition or location beyond the blockchain record—it only tracks the digital record. It does not support tracking without a valid product identifier; the identifier is required. The tool cannot detect if the product has been tampered with or replaced; it only tracks the recorded events. It does not support tracking of products not registered on the blockchain; the product must be registered. The tool cannot verify the accuracy of the recorded events or participants; it only displays the records. It does not support tracking across non-EVM chains. The tool cannot guarantee that the supply chain records are complete or truthful; it only displays the records. It does not support batch tracking of multiple products; each product must be tracked separately.
