About this app
WHAT IT DOES
The Treasury Stablecoin Conversion Tool enables DAOs to convert treasury assets to stablecoins, reducing volatility exposure and preserving capital value. Converting treasury holdings to stablecoins is a key risk management strategy for DAOs, protecting against market downturns and ensuring funds are available for operational expenses. This tool provides a streamlined interface to convert treasury tokens to stablecoins with configurable amounts, DEX routing, and slippage protection.
The tool reads DAO treasury state, token balances, current prices, stablecoin protocol states, conversion parameters, and approval status. It supports converting treasury tokens to stablecoins via DEX routers with configurable amounts and slippage settings. The tool handles the necessary approvals and submits the swap transaction to the DEX router.
HOW TO USE
1. Connect your wallet using the Connect button. The tool automatically detects your connected address and network.
2. Select the network where your treasury and DEX are deployed using the network dropdown.
3. Enter the DAO treasury address, the source token address, and the stablecoin target address.
4. Enter the amount to convert and the DEX router address (e.g., Uniswap, PancakeSwap, SushiSwap).
5. Configure your slippage tolerance percentage for the swap.
6. Click "Load treasury" to verify the treasury exists and has sufficient balance.
7. Review the conversion details in the preview panel including treasury, source token, stablecoin, amount, and router.
8. Click "Convert to Stablecoin" to submit the conversion transaction through your wallet.
9. The tool will handle token approvals (if required) and execute the swap.
TECHNICAL MECHANISM
The tool interacts with the DEX router's swap function, which typically takes the token addresses, amount, minimum output, and deadline as parameters. Before converting, the tool verifies the treasury's balance of the source token and approves the router contract to spend the required amount. The swap function then executes the trade on the DEX, swapping the source token for the stablecoin at the current market rate. The minimum output is calculated based on the expected output minus the slippage tolerance to protect against price movement. The treasury's balance is updated accordingly, and the stablecoin is received by the treasury address.
WHAT IT CANNOT SEE
This tool cannot verify that the price feed is accurate or reliable; it relies on the DEX's on-chain pricing. It cannot detect if the oracle has been compromised or manipulated. It cannot ensure that conversion will execute at the optimal rate due to slippage, market volatility, and block timing. It cannot guarantee that conversion will succeed if liquidity is insufficient. It cannot verify that the stablecoin protocol has not been upgraded or modified. It cannot detect if the swap path is optimal or if the transaction is being front-run by malicious actors. It cannot recover funds if execution fails due to contract bugs, insufficient approvals, out-of-gas errors, or blockchain reorgs. It cannot verify that the stablecoin is legitimate or not a depeg risk. It cannot predict market movements, price gaps, or flash crashes that may affect conversion value. It cannot guarantee execution during extreme network congestion, high gas prices, or volatile market conditions. It cannot detect if the underlying DEX protocol has been compromised. It cannot prevent the user from canceling or modifying conversion parameters through other interfaces. It cannot ensure that conversion is economically optimal or that gas costs do not exceed conversion value. It cannot guarantee that the stablecoin will maintain its peg.
PLEASE NOTE
This tool is designed for EVM-compatible blockchains (Ethereum, Polygon, Arbitrum, Optimism, Base, BSC, Avalanche, Fantom, and others). It requires an active wallet connection and sufficient native currency for gas fees. Always verify the treasury address, token addresses, router address, and conversion parameters before executing. The tool is provided as-is with no warranty; users assume full responsibility for their transactions and should exercise caution when converting treasury assets to stablecoins. For mainnet usage, ensure the DEX router has been audited and you understand the risks of token swaps including slippage, gas costs, and smart contract risks.
