About this app
WHAT IT DOES
Tribe Web Member Directory Organizer automatically scans Tribe member directory and profile pages to extract comprehensive member data including member name, role, join date, activity level, member status (Online, Offline, Away, Busy), and new member indicators. The tool displays a floating overlay panel showing a summary of the member directory with total members, online members, and new members. Members can be sorted by name, newest join date, or most active. New members are highlighted with a yellow border and "New" badge. Each member displays their status with color-coded indicators—green for Online, yellow for Away, red for Busy, and gray for Offline. Role breakdowns are shown as tags with counts. This provides a complete, organized view of your community member directory and helps you track member engagement.
WHERE IT RUNS
This extension operates exclusively on tribe.so domain pages that contain member directory and profile content—specifically pages with "/members", "/directory", "/people", or "/community" in the URL path, or pages that display member listings and profiles. It works alongside the free BotGentz companion extension, which provides the necessary DOM access and page interaction capabilities. The member directory organizer runs entirely within your local browser instance and does not communicate with any external servers or APIs. All member data extraction, sorting, filtering, and preference storage are processed and stored on your machine, ensuring your member data and tracking preferences remain private. It supports all modern Chromium-based browsers (Chrome, Edge, Brave, Opera) and Firefox when paired with the BotGentz bridge.
HOW TO USE
After installing both BotGentz and this directory organizer, navigate to any Tribe member directory or community page. Within 1-2 seconds, a panel appears in the bottom-right corner displaying a summary with total members, online members, and new members. The "Sort & Filter" section lets you sort members by Name, Newest, or Most Active—click any option to reorder the directory. The "Members" section lists each member with their name, status badge (color-coded), role, join date, and activity level. New members are highlighted with a yellow border. The "Roles" section shows all member roles with counts. The panel provides a complete, organized view of your member directory.
MEMBER DATA EXTRACTION AND DIRECTORY ORGANIZATION
The member directory organizer uses a multi-strategy extraction system to locate and parse member data from Tribe pages. It first attempts to find structured member elements using selectors based on the site's typical class naming patterns, including "member-item," "member-card," "profile-item," and "user-item." When these selectors fail due to site updates, the tool falls back to text-based parsing, scanning the page for member-related patterns using pattern matching for member names, role labels, and date formats. Member names are extracted from title elements or through pattern matching. Roles are extracted through pattern matching for "role:" labels or element selectors. Join dates are extracted through pattern matching for "joined:" or "member since:" labels with date formats. Activity levels are extracted through pattern matching for "activity:" labels or post/comment counts. Member status is determined through keyword detection for "Online," "Offline," "Away," or "Busy." New member detection uses a 30-day threshold based on join date. Sorting options (Name, Newest, Active) are applied to the member list, and preferences are stored using GM_setValue. Role breakdowns are aggregated with counts for summary display.
THE PANEL
The member directory organizer panel is a compact, functional overlay that integrates into the Tribe member page. It can be dragged by clicking and holding the title bar, positioning the panel anywhere on the screen for optimal visibility while you manage your directory. The panel includes a built-in snap feature that automatically aligns to the nearest screen edge when released within 48 pixels, keeping your workspace organized. Click the collapse arrow in the top-right corner to minimize the panel to a small icon bubble showing a gear emoji, preserving screen space while keeping the tool accessible. The panel is not resizable in this version, maintaining a consistent compact size that works on all screen resolutions. Press the Escape key to instantly hide the panel; press Escape again to restore it. All position, collapse state, and sorting preferences are saved locally using GM_setValue and persist across browsing sessions.
PLEASE NOTE
This extension requires the free BotGentz extension to function—the member directory organizer does not work standalone. Tribe occasionally updates its page layouts and member presentation formats, which may temporarily affect member data extraction accuracy. The tool extracts member data from the visible page content; if member information is loaded dynamically after page load, you may need to wait a moment or refresh the page for the panel to populate. New member detection is based on join date and may not be accurate for all members. The tool does not store or transmit any data; all member data extraction, sorting, filtering, and settings are processed and saved entirely within your browser. This tool is designed for personal community management and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Tribe.so or its parent company. Member directory data is subject to Tribe.so's terms; always review your official Tribe.so account for authoritative member information.
