WHAT IT DOES

TRM Labs Compliance Checker is a security tool that simulates compliance and risk assessment for wallet addresses using a TRM Labs-style analysis. Enter any EVM address — the tool generates a simulated compliance check including compliance score (0-100), risk level (Low, Medium, High), category (Individual, Exchange, Smart Contract, DeFi Protocol, Gambling, Mixer, Darknet, or Unknown), transaction count, account age, balance, total volume, unique counterparties, sanctions hits count, PEP (Politically Exposed Person) status, and detailed findings with explanations. It displays the compliance status with color-coded badges and status dots, providing a TRM Labs-style compliance experience. This is essential for developers building AML compliance features, security researchers analyzing addresses, or anyone learning about blockchain compliance.

HOW TO USE

Connect your wallet using the BGWallet bridge (MetaMask or any Web3 wallet). Enter the wallet address you want to check in the input field — or click "Use my wallet" to check your connected address. Click "Check compliance" to generate the simulation. Results display the address (with a block explorer link), compliance status (Compliant, Medium Risk, or High Risk with color-coded status), compliance score (0-100), risk level with a color-coded badge and status dot, category, transaction count, account age in days, balance, total volume, unique counterparties, sanctions hits count, PEP status, and a list of findings explaining the assessment. This is useful for understanding how compliance tools assess addresses and what factors they consider for AML compliance.

TECHNICAL MECHANISM

The tool simulates TRM Labs-style compliance analysis using client-side logic. It generates a random category from a predefined list (Individual, Exchange, Smart Contract, DeFi Protocol, Gambling, Mixer, Darknet, Unknown). The compliance score is calculated based on the category — Darknet and Mixer receive low scores (10-30), Gambling receives medium scores (30-55), DeFi and Smart Contracts receive high scores (70-90), and Exchanges receive very high scores (80-95). Sanctions hits (0-2) are randomly generated and significantly reduce the compliance score. PEP status (15% probability) reduces the score by 10 points. The tool generates realistic transaction metrics: transaction count (10-5000), account age (1-730 days), balance (0-1000 ETH), total volume (0-10000 ETH), and unique counterparties (5-500). Findings are generated based on the category, sanctions hits, PEP status, and compliance score. The tool does not actually integrate with TRM Labs API — the analysis is a simulation for demonstration and educational purposes. All operations are performed client-side — no data is stored or transmitted. The tool is read-only and does not sign any transactions.

WHAT IT CANNOT SEE

The tool cannot actually integrate with TRM Labs API without a valid API key and subscription — the analysis is a simulation. It cannot provide compliance scores or risk assessments without external data — the simulation uses category-based scoring. It cannot detect or prevent on-chain fraud in real-time — the analysis is static. It cannot analyze off-chain data or identity information — only on-chain data is simulated. It cannot guarantee the accuracy or completeness of TRM Labs data — the simulation is for demonstration. It cannot provide real compliance or legal advice. The tool is read-only and does not sign any transactions.

PLEASE NOTE

This tool works exclusively with EVM-compatible chains for the wallet connection, but the compliance check simulation is chain-agnostic. Solana, Tron, Starknet, SUI, TON, Aptos, Bitcoin, Cosmos, and XRP are not supported for wallet connection but the simulation works for EVM addresses. The tool provides a simulation — for real TRM Labs integration, obtain a valid API key and subscription. The tool does not store any data — all operations are performed client-side. The tool is provided as-is with no warranty or liability. Always verify compliance assessments with official TRM Labs data for production use.
