About this app

WHAT IT DOES

Twitch Drops Progress Badge automatically scans Twitch pages for active drops campaigns and displays your progress in a compact, always-visible badge. The tool extracts the percentage of watch time completed, calculates remaining time needed, and updates in real-time as you watch. A color-coded progress bar shows your status at a glance — green for near completion, yellow for halfway, orange for early progress, and red for just starting. When a drop reaches 100%, the badge triggers a desktop notification and changes appearance to celebrate completion. Click the badge to jump directly to your drops inventory page.

WHERE IT RUNS

This extension works exclusively on Twitch at www.twitch.tv. It functions on any page where drops campaigns are active, including channel pages, category pages, and the main directory. The tool automatically detects drops progress regardless of where the progress indicator appears on the page, handling Twitch's dynamic content loading and frequent layout updates.

HOW TO USE

Install the extension and navigate to any Twitch channel with active drops. A badge appears in the bottom-right corner of the screen showing your current progress. The badge displays the campaign name, completion percentage, and a progress bar. If the page shows remaining time, the badge includes a "Remaining" timer. Click "Refresh Progress" in the overlay panel to force a manual update. Use the position dropdown to move the badge to any corner of the screen. Enable "Auto-hide" to make the badge partially transparent until you hover over it. Turn on "Show completion notifications" to receive a desktop alert when you complete a drop. The badge updates automatically every 30 seconds and whenever the page content changes.

TECHNICAL SECTION — TWITCH DROPS DATA EXTRACTION

The extension uses a comprehensive DOM scanning strategy to locate drops progress data on Twitch pages. It queries multiple selectors including Twitch's data-test-selector attributes, progress indicator elements, and campaign cards. The scanner also parses inline script tags containing Twitch's client-side state data, searching for JSON properties related to drops and progress values. This multi-layer approach ensures reliable detection even as Twitch changes its page structure. The progress percentage is extracted from text nodes containing percentage patterns (e.g., "45%") or from data attributes in progress bars. When available, the tool also extracts remaining time from duration indicators and converts them to a human-readable format. The extension uses a MutationObserver to detect DOM changes, re-scanning only when necessary to minimize performance impact while maintaining real-time accuracy.

THE PANEL — DRAG / PER-SITE POSITION / SNAP / COLLAPSE / RESIZE / ESCAPE

The overlay panel is fully interactive and designed for seamless multitasking. Drag it anywhere on the screen using the handle at the top of the panel; the position is saved per site so it stays where you left it across sessions. The panel includes a snap-to-edge feature that gently anchors the overlay to the nearest screen edge when released. Click the collapse button to minimize the panel to a compact pill showing only the current drops status; expand it again with a single click. Resize the panel vertically by dragging the bottom-right corner to view more controls. Press the Escape key at any time to instantly close the overlay; it reappears on the next page navigation or refresh.

PLEASE NOTE

This extension requires the free BotGentz companion extension to function, as it provides the underlying content script injection and cross-origin communication framework. No personal data, browsing history, or Twitch activity is stored, transmitted, or shared. All drops data extraction occurs entirely locally in your browser; no information is sent to any external server. The extension does not access or store login credentials, financial data, or personally identifiable information. Twitch may update its page structure and drops interface; the extension includes multiple selector fallbacks to maintain compatibility, but major redesigns may temporarily affect badge display. The tool displays progress data as presented on the Twitch page and does not modify or accelerate drops progress. Drops are subject to Twitch's terms of service and campaign availability.
