About this app

WHAT IT DOES

Unstoppable Domains gives domain owners, developers, and Web3 identity managers comprehensive control over Unstoppable domain records. It reads live on-chain data including domain name records, resolver addresses, owner addresses, metadata records, expiry timestamps, and reverse resolution data. You can check domain status, register domains, set resolver addresses, transfer domain ownership, update metadata URIs, and export domain records. The tool shows you in real time the domain name, owner, resolver, metadata URI, token ID, and active status—so you can manage your Web3 identity infrastructure effectively.

HOW TO USE

Connect your EVM wallet (must be the contract owner or authorized address). Enter the domain name (e.g., myname.crypto), the domain contract address, optional resolver address, owner address for transfers, and metadata URI for records. Use "Check domain" to see the domain's token ID, owner, metadata URI, and status (Active/Available/Expired). Click "Register domain" to register a new domain (simulated). Use "Set resolver" to configure the resolver address for the domain. "Transfer domain" sends ownership to a new address. "Set metadata" updates the metadata URI. "Export domain" downloads the domain records as JSON. Each action generates a transaction you review and sign in your wallet.

TECHNICAL APPROACH

This tool interacts with Unstoppable Domains contracts using ethers v5.7.2. It calls getTokenId() to resolve a domain name to its NFT token ID, then uses ownerOf(), tokenURI(), and setResolver() to manage domain records. The tool validates domain names and addresses before submission. For resolver management, it supports setting custom resolver addresses for domain resolution. All RPC calls are wrapped in a robust error handler that extracts the actual failure reason from Ethers error objects, digging three levels deep to avoid showing "[object Object]" when a transaction reverts. Transaction costing uses receipt.effectiveGasPrice post-EIP-1559 rather than tx.gasPrice, which overstates actual spend.

WHAT IT CANNOT SEE

This tool cannot verify off-chain domain ownership or guarantee that domain records are up-to-date. It cannot detect if a domain has been transferred off-chain or if the resolver is correctly configured. It cannot verify the identity of the domain owner beyond the on-chain address. It cannot see off-chain metadata content not stored on-chain. It cannot guarantee that domain records are complete or that the resolver will function correctly. The tool provides domain management based on on-chain data, but it does not guarantee that the domain is properly configured or that the records are accurate.

PLEASE NOTE

This tool supports EVM‑compatible chains only (Ethereum, Goerli, Sepolia, Arbitrum, Optimism, Polygon). Solana, Tron, Starknet, SUI, TON, Aptos, Bitcoin, Cosmos, and XRP are not supported. This is a read‑write tool that requires signing transactions—always verify the domain contract address, domain name, and resolver before approving. No contract addresses are hardcoded; you paste the contracts you are managing. The tool is free and open under the BotGentz PLAYBOOK‑C specification.
