It identifies the type of email or subscription content, then generates a well-structured reason that clearly explains why you are unsubscribing (such as too many emails, irrelevant content, or changing interests), while remaining professional and constructive. You can choose between a brief or detailed style, review the draft in the panel, edit it as needed, and copy it for use in your email client or subscription management form.

WHERE IT RUNS

This tool operates as a panel within the BotGentz browser extension, available for Chrome, Firefox, Edge, and Brave. It works on any webpage displaying email content, newsletters, subscription information, or similar communication content. Common sources include email clients, newsletter archives, and subscription management pages.

HOW TO USE

Navigate to any page that displays email content, a newsletter, or subscription information. Open the BotGentz extension and select Unsubscribe Reason Drafter from the tool menu. The panel will appear on the side of your browser. Enter your full name and email address in the provided fields (these are stored locally for future use). Select the reason type (too many emails, irrelevant content, changing interests, no longer needed, or custom). Optionally, enter a custom reason. Select your preferred style (brief or detailed) from the dropdown menu. Click the "Draft Reason" button to analyze the current page content. The tool extracts the relevant email or subscription content and sends it along with your information to the AI for processing. Within moments, you will receive a brief, professional unsubscribe reason in the panel. Review the draft, make any edits directly in the panel, and click the copy button to save it to your clipboard for use in your email client.

TECHNICAL SECTION — EMAIL AND SUBSCRIPTION CONTENT EXTRACTION

This tool uses a specialized pipeline trained on email, newsletter, and subscription communication patterns. First, it performs a hierarchical DOM traversal that prioritizes content blocks containing subscription indicators such as "email," "newsletter," "subscription," "unsubscribe," "opt-out," "frequency," "content," "topic," "interest," "update," and "preference." Second, it extracts candidate passages using a context-aware sliding window that captures both the content data and surrounding structural markers (subject lines, sender names, content categories). Third, a trained classifier assigns each passage a probability score for being part of an email or subscription context using features like email language frequency ("email," "newsletter," "unsubscribe," "subscribe"), content markers, and frequency indicators. Fourth, the system applies semantic clustering to group related content into two core categories: the content type and frequency, and the sender or subscription context. Finally, the structured clusters, combined with the user's provided information (name, email, reason type, custom reason, and style preference), are passed to the AI model with a constrained prompt that instructs it to generate a brief, appropriate unsubscribe reason with standardized sections (greeting, reason explanation, and polite closing), reducing hallucination and ensuring a professional, contextually appropriate draft.

THE PANEL

The side panel is designed for seamless integration into your browsing workflow. You can drag it to either side of the window, and it remembers your preferred position per website. It supports snap-to-edge behavior and can be collapsed to a small tab for minimal distraction. The panel is resizable horizontally and vertically, with a minimum width of 280px and maximum of 600px. Pressing the Escape key closes the panel. All settings are saved locally.

AI-generated unsubscribe reasons are for assistance only and should be reviewed for accuracy and appropriateness before sending, as interpretations may occasionally miss content nuances or misread the subscription context. Websites change their email page formats frequently, and extraction scripts may need periodic updates; we strive to keep the pattern library current. This tool does not store or transmit page content except for the extracted text sent to the AI API; your personal information (name, email) is stored locally in your browser and is only sent to the AI as part of the draft generation. No browsing history or personal data is collected or retained. Subscription billing is monthly and can be canceled at any time.
