About this app

WHAT IT DOES

AI-powered summarizer for vacation rental listings. The script reads listing content from the current page—description, amenities, reviews, location, host info, and pricing—and generates a concise, personalized summary followed by a draft inquiry message. The AI produces a tailored email or message that you can use to contact the host, ask specific questions, or confirm booking details. You review the output before copying or using it, ensuring you control the final message. Choose from short, medium, or detailed summaries and select your preferred tone (friendly, professional, or informal).

WHERE IT RUNS

Works on all vacation rental websites (match pattern *://*/*), including Airbnb, Vrbo, Booking.com, HomeAway, and similar platforms. Also works on property listing pages, travel blogs, and any page containing rental descriptions. Each page is analyzed independently, and results are displayed in the panel for you to review.

HOW TO USE

Install the script and the Vacation Rental Summarizer appears in the panel. Configure your preferred summary length and tone using the settings dropdowns. Click "Summarize" to analyze the current page. The AI extracts the listing content and generates a summary followed by a draft inquiry message. Review the output in the panel. Click "Copy to Clipboard" to copy the generated text for use in email, messaging apps, or contact forms. Adjust the settings and regenerate if you want a different style or length.

REAL MECHANISM: DOM CONTENT EXTRACTION WITH AI COMPLETION AND REVIEW GATE

This script uses a hybrid extraction approach that prioritizes structured content when available. First, it checks for WebMCP (navigator.modelContext), a W3C proposal that exposes structured tools on the page. If available, it calls getContent() to obtain structured listing data. If WebMCP is not present—the common case today—it falls back to DOM scraping using targeted selectors for description, amenities, and property details sections. The extracted text is sent to an AI backend via GM_xmlhttpRequest, which processes it with a system prompt that includes the user's selected summary length and tone. The AI returns a summary (capped at the requested length) followed by a draft inquiry message (max 200 words). The response is displayed in a bordered container for review before copying. Copy-to-clipboard uses GM_setClipboard. All settings (summary length, tone) are persisted via GM_setValue. The script enforces a review-before-use pattern: the user must read and approve the AI output before copying it, ensuring they remain in control of the final message.

THE PANEL

Drag the panel anywhere on screen by clicking and holding the header. It snaps to screen edges when released. Collapse it to a small bubble by clicking the minimize button, and expand it back by clicking the bubble. Resize the panel from any corner. Press Escape to close the configuration panel. Your position and size preferences are saved automatically per site.

PLEASE NOTE

This script requires the free BotGentz browser extension and an active AI subscription for the summarization service. AI-generated replies should be reviewed for accuracy and appropriateness before use—the AI may misinterpret listing details or generate content that doesn't match your specific needs. The script reads the current page content and sends it to the AI backend for processing; no data is stored or logged. Websites change frequently; if the script stops detecting listing content, check for updates to the extraction selectors.
