About this app

WHAT IT DOES

Verizon Web Bill Breakdown Overlay reads bill summary and line item details from your Verizon account page and displays a floating bill breakdown overlay showing total charges, taxes, fees, and per-line costs. The badge shows the total amount due, with a breakdown of charges, taxes, and fees displayed below. When enabled, line details show each line's name and cost. A due date indicator shows when the bill is due. The extension tracks bill history per month, storing each bill amount with a timestamp. The panel displays your current month's bill history and changes over time. The badge is fully draggable, resizable, and remembers its position, size, and opacity across sessions.

WHERE IT RUNS

This extension works on all Verizon pages at verizon.com and its subdomains, specifically on account pages where billing information is displayed. It runs on the main account page, the billing page, the payment page, and any page displaying bill summary information. The extension operates entirely within your browser and does not access Verizon's servers directly—it reads only what is visible on the page you are viewing. It works alongside the free BotGentz extension, which provides the necessary scripting environment.

HOW TO USE

Install the extension, then navigate to verizon.com and log in to your account. The extension automatically creates a floating bill breakdown overlay on the page. Click the extension's icon in your browser toolbar to open the settings panel. Use the "Show Overlay" / "Hide Overlay" button to toggle the badge visibility. The badge shows your total bill, charges, taxes, fees, and line details. Use the "Refresh" button to manually update the badge with the latest bill information. The "Show line details" toggle controls whether per-line costs appear. The "Due date notifications" toggle controls desktop notifications when a bill is due. Adjust the overlay transparency using the opacity dropdown (70%, 82%, 92%, or 100%). Drag the badge by clicking and holding anywhere inside it. Resize it by dragging the bottom-right corner. Close the badge with the × button.

BILL SUMMARY EXTRACTION WITH MONTHLY HISTORY AND DUE DATE NOTIFICATION

Unlike simple balance display tools, this extension uses a multi-selector extraction engine to find bill totals, charges, taxes, fees, and line items from Verizon's varying page structures. It searches for total amount using multiple selector patterns (.bill-total, .total-amount, .amount-due) and falls back to text parsing. Charges, taxes, and fees are extracted using their respective selector patterns. Line items are detected using line selectors, extracting line names and costs. Monthly bill history is stored as a key-value object where keys are year-month strings (YYYY-MM) and values are arrays of bill records with timestamps, limited to 20 entries per month. A due date notification triggers when a due date is detected, with a once-per-day cooldown. The line details toggle controls the visibility of per-line costs in the overlay.

THE PANEL

The panel supports drag-to-move anywhere on the page. It remembers its position per site, so it stays where you placed it on verizon.com. Click the panel header to collapse it down to just the minimized bubble, or click the expand handle to show the full panel. The panel can be resized by dragging the bottom-right corner. Press the Escape key to close the expanded panel and return to the minimized state. All panel settings, including position, size, collapsed state, opacity, line details visibility, notification preference, and monthly bill history, are saved per site and persist across browsing sessions.

PLEASE NOTE

This extension requires the free BotGentz extension to be installed and active, as it provides the underlying DOM injection and script execution environment. Verizon's website changes periodically, and billing element structures, class names, and page layouts may be updated. When that happens, the extension may stop detecting bill data until an update is released. The extension stores your overlay position, size, opacity, visibility, line details preference, notification preference, and monthly bill history locally in your browser's storage using GM_setValue. Bill history is stored as a key-value object where keys are year-month strings and values are arrays of bill records. The bill amount displayed is read from the page—the extension does not access Verizon's internal billing data. Always verify with Verizon directly for the most accurate bill information. No data is ever sent to any server, and no personal information is collected. You can clear all stored settings at any time by clearing your browser data for verizon.com.
