About this app
WHAT IT DOES
Wiki Page Summarizer is a writing tool that analyzes wiki articles, knowledge base entries, and documentation pages from any webpage, then generates a concise summary of the page. It identifies the main topic or subject, the key information or sections, and any notable details, definitions, or important facts, then produces a clear, easy-to-read summary that captures the essential content of the wiki page. You can choose between a brief or detailed summary length, review the summary in the panel, edit it as needed, and copy it for your reference, for sharing with others, or for use in your own content.
WHERE IT RUNS
This tool operates as a panel within the BotGentz browser extension, available for Chrome, Firefox, Edge, and Brave. It works on any webpage displaying wiki articles, knowledge base entries, documentation pages, or similar reference content. Common sources include Wikipedia, Fandom wikis, internal knowledge bases, and software documentation sites.
HOW TO USE
Navigate to any page that displays a wiki article, knowledge base entry, or documentation page. Open the BotGentz extension and select Wiki Page Summarizer from the tool menu. The panel will appear on the side of your browser. Select your preferred summary length (brief or detailed) from the dropdown menu. Click the "Summarize Wiki Page" button to analyze the current page content. The tool extracts the relevant article content and sends it to the AI for processing. Within moments, you will receive a concise wiki summary in the panel. Review the summary, make any edits directly in the panel, and click the copy button to save it to your clipboard for your reference.
TECHNICAL SECTION — WIKI AND DOCUMENTATION CONTENT EXTRACTION
This tool uses a specialized pipeline trained on wiki and reference content communication patterns. First, it performs a hierarchical DOM traversal that prioritizes content blocks containing wiki indicators such as "wiki," "article," "knowledge base," "documentation," "section," "heading," "definition," "fact," "reference," and "topic." Second, it extracts candidate passages using a context-aware sliding window that captures both the article data and surrounding structural markers (headings, sections, bullet lists, definition blocks). Third, a trained classifier assigns each passage a probability score for being part of a wiki context using features like wiki language frequency ("article," "section," "definition," "reference"), heading patterns, and content markers. Fourth, the system applies semantic clustering to group related content into three core categories: the main topic, key information sections, and notable details or definitions. Finally, the structured clusters, combined with the user's length preference, are passed to the AI model with a constrained prompt that instructs it to generate a concise summary covering the key categories, reducing hallucination and ensuring accurate, contextually appropriate insights.
THE PANEL
The side panel is designed for seamless integration into your browsing workflow. You can drag it to either side of the window, and it remembers your preferred position per website. It supports snap-to-edge behavior and can be collapsed to a small tab for minimal distraction. The panel is resizable horizontally and vertically, with a minimum width of 280px and maximum of 600px. Pressing the Escape key closes the panel. All settings are saved locally.
PLEASE NOTE
This tool requires the free BotGentz extension and an active subscription to access the AI summarization feature. AI-generated wiki summaries are for assistance only and should be reviewed for accuracy before relying on them, as interpretations may occasionally miss article nuances or misread the content context. Websites change their wiki page formats frequently, and extraction scripts may need periodic updates; we strive to keep the pattern library current. This tool does not store or transmit page content except for the extracted text sent to the AI API. No browsing history or personal data is collected or retained. Subscription billing is monthly and can be canceled at any time.
