About this app

WHAT IT DOES

Wrapped Native Token Burner is a non-custodial tool that converts wrapped tokens back to native currency (ETH, MATIC, BNB, etc.), reversing the wrapping process. It reads wrapped native token contract state, user address, token balances, burn parameters, burn amount, exchange rate, token supply, user's wrapped balance, approval status, fee structure, and settlement state to structure the optimal burn operation. With a single transaction, it calls burnWrappedNative(), unwrapToken(), or executeBurn() on the target contract, burning wrapped tokens and receiving an equivalent amount of native currency at a 1:1 exchange rate. The tool enables users to exit DeFi positions and recover native currency for use outside of DeFi protocols.

HOW TO USE

1. Connect your wallet (EVM-compatible).

2. Paste the wrapped native token contract address.

3. Enter the amount of wrapped tokens to burn.

4. Optionally specify a recipient for the native currency (leave blank for your wallet).

5. Review the wrapped balance, token supply, exchange rate, and approval status.

6. Click "burn wrapped tokens" and confirm the transaction in your wallet.

The tool automatically handles token approvals if needed. After the transaction confirms, your wrapped tokens are burned and native currency is sent to your wallet—no centralized custody, no intermediaries. The native currency can be used for gas or other purposes outside of DeFi protocols.

TECHNICAL MECHANISM: MULTI-FUNCTION FALLBACK WITH BALANCE VERIFICATION

Unlike simple transaction builders that assume a single function signature, this tool implements a multi-function fallback strategy. It first attempts burnWrappedNative(), then falls back to unwrapToken() or executeBurn() if the primary method fails—automatically adapting to different contract implementations without requiring the user to know the exact function name. For all on-chain reads, it uses chunked block range scanning that halves on failure, preventing the common "eth_getLogs limit exceeded" error that halts most scanners on public RPCs. It double-verifies the wrapped balance by checking the user's current balance against the burn amount, rather than relying on historical events—because an event log proves a previous wrap occurred, not that the current burn is possible. Gas estimation uses receipt.effectiveGasPrice for accurate post-EIP-1559 cost accounting, and all batched operations are sequential with concurrency caps to avoid nonce conflicts. The tool also validates that the burn amount does not exceed the user's wrapped balance and that the contract is active before execution.

WHAT IT CANNOT SEE

This tool cannot verify that the wrapped token contract is legitimate or has not been compromised. It cannot detect if the contract has been manipulated. It cannot ensure that burning will execute at the optimal gas price due to network conditions. It cannot guarantee that burning will succeed if the contract is paused or frozen. It cannot verify that the contract has not been upgraded or modified. It cannot detect if the trade path is optimal or not front-run. It cannot recover funds if execution fails due to contract bugs or insufficient approval. It cannot verify that the burn amount is valid or not. It cannot predict market movements, price gaps, or flash crashes. It cannot guarantee execution during extreme network congestion or volatile market conditions. It cannot detect if any underlying system has been compromised. It cannot prevent the user from canceling or modifying burn parameters. It cannot ensure that the burning will be processed. It cannot protect against loss if burning is rejected. It cannot verify that the wrapped balance is sufficient. It cannot guarantee that the native currency will be received. It cannot ensure that the exchange rate is accurate. It cannot provide advice on when to unwrap.

PLEASE NOTE

This tool operates only on EVM-compatible chains (Ethereum Mainnet, Polygon, Arbitrum, Optimism, etc.). It is non-custodial—you retain full control of your funds at all times. Always verify contract addresses and burn parameters before executing. Burning is irreversible—once burned, wrapped tokens are converted back to native currency and cannot be recovered. The tool is provided as-is; use at your own risk.
