Yield Farming Calculator is a DeFi tool that estimates your potential returns from staking and liquidity provision. Enter your deposit amount, APR, duration, and compounding frequency — the tool calculates your total yield, final balance, APY, and provides a day-by-day breakdown of balance growth. It supports simple (non-compounding) and compound interest with daily, weekly, or monthly compounding. This is essential for DeFi investors comparing yield opportunities, estimating potential returns, planning investment strategies, or understanding the impact of compounding on their yields.

HOW TO USE

Connect your wallet using the BGWallet bridge (MetaMask or any Web3 wallet). Select the pool type — "Staking pool" or "LP token." Enter your deposit amount in tokens, the APR percentage, the duration in days, and the compounding frequency (None, Daily, Weekly, Monthly). Click "Calculate yield" to generate the results. The tool displays the pool type, deposit amount, APR, APY (with compounding effect), duration, total yield, and final balance. It also shows a breakdown table with balance growth over time (up to 30 days or the duration, whichever is shorter). The APY is color-coded with a badge (High, Medium, Low) to help you quickly assess the yield quality. This is useful for understanding how different compounding frequencies affect your returns.

TECHNICAL MECHANISM

The tool uses standard financial formulas for interest calculation. For simple interest (no compounding), it calculates total yield as deposit × APR × (duration / 365) and final balance as deposit + total yield. For compound interest, it uses the formula: final balance = deposit × (1 + APR / compoundingPeriods)^(compoundingPeriods × years). The APY (Annual Percentage Yield) is calculated as (1 + APR / compoundingPeriods)^compoundingPeriods - 1, which accounts for the compounding effect. The tool provides a daily breakdown for the first 30 days (or the full duration if shorter), showing balance and growth at regular intervals. The APR is input as a percentage (e.g., 50 for 50%). All calculations are performed client-side — no data is stored or transmitted. The tool does not fetch real-time data from the blockchain or external price feeds.

WHAT IT CANNOT SEE

The tool cannot fetch real-time token prices without external price feed or API — all values are based on user input. It cannot account for impermanent loss in LP positions — the calculation assumes the token price remains constant. It cannot predict future reward rates or APY changes — the calculation is based on the current APR entered by the user. It cannot handle complex reward mechanisms (e.g., rebasing, compounding strategies) accurately — the calculation uses standard compound interest formulas. It cannot detect protocol changes or reward schedule adjustments — the calculation does not account for changing APRs over time. It cannot account for fees, gas costs, or withdrawal penalties. The tool is read-only and does not sign any transactions.

PLEASE NOTE

This tool works exclusively with EVM-compatible chains for the wallet connection, but the yield calculation is chain-agnostic. Solana, Tron, Starknet, SUI, TON, Aptos, Bitcoin, Cosmos, and XRP are not supported for wallet connection but the calculation works regardless. The tool provides estimates only — actual returns may vary based on market conditions, protocol changes, and impermanent loss. The tool does not store any data — all operations are performed client-side. The tool is provided as-is with no warranty or liability. Always conduct your own research before investing.
