WHAT IT DOES

HomeAdvisor Web Pro Response Time Badge reads pro response times and ratings from your HomeAdvisor account and displays a floating response time badge showing average response time and pro availability status. Each pro is displayed with their name, response time, rating, and online/offline status. Response times are color-coded—green for fast (under 15 minutes), yellow for medium (15-60 minutes), and red for slow (over 60 minutes). The fastest pro is highlighted in green with a "Fastest" badge. An average response time counter shows the overall average. The extension tracks response time history per pro, storing each response time record with a timestamp. Preferred pros can be set to appear with a star icon. The panel displays your current pros, average response time, fastest pro, and status indicators.

WHERE IT RUNS

This extension works on all HomeAdvisor pages at homeadvisor.com and its subdomains, specifically on account pages where pro response times and ratings are displayed. It runs on the main account page, the pros page, the project page, and any page displaying pro information. The extension operates entirely within your browser and does not access HomeAdvisor's servers directly—it reads only what is visible on the page you are viewing. It works alongside the free BotGentz extension, which provides the necessary scripting environment.

HOW TO USE

Install the extension, then navigate to homeadvisor.com and log in to your account. The extension automatically creates a floating response time badge on the page. Click the extension's icon in your browser toolbar to open the settings panel. Use the "Show Overlay" / "Hide Overlay" button to toggle the badge visibility. The badge shows all pros with response times, ratings, and status, with the fastest highlighted. Use the "Refresh" button to manually update the badge with the latest response time information. Enter preferred pro IDs in the preferences section to have them appear first with a star icon. The "Show ratings" toggle controls whether ratings appear. Adjust the overlay transparency using the opacity dropdown (70%, 82%, 92%, or 100%). Drag the badge by clicking and holding anywhere inside it. Resize it by dragging the bottom-right corner. Close the badge with the × button.

RESPONSE TIME EXTRACTION WITH AVAILABILITY DETECTION AND FASTEST PRO HIGHLIGHTING

Unlike simple display tools, this extension uses a multi-selector extraction engine to find pro items, response times, ratings, and availability status from HomeAdvisor's varying page structures. It searches for pro items using multiple selector patterns (.pro-item, .provider-item, .service-pro) and falls back to text parsing. Response times are extracted using number parsing with regex pattern matching. Ratings are extracted from rating selectors. Availability status is detected using status elements and keyword matching (online, available, active). The fastest pro is identified by comparing all response times. Response time history is stored as a key-value object where keys are account IDs and values are arrays of response time records with timestamps, limited to 20 entries per account. Preferred pros are stored as an array of pro IDs and are displayed with a star icon.

THE PANEL

The panel supports drag-to-move anywhere on the page. It remembers its position per site, so it stays where you placed it on homeadvisor.com. Click the panel header to collapse it down to just the minimized bubble, or click the expand handle to show the full panel. The panel can be resized by dragging the bottom-right corner. Press the Escape key to close the expanded panel and return to the minimized state. All panel settings, including position, size, collapsed state, opacity, preferred pros, ratings visibility, and response time history, are saved per site and persist across browsing sessions.

PLEASE NOTE

This extension requires the free BotGentz extension to be installed and active, as it provides the underlying DOM injection and script execution environment. HomeAdvisor's website changes periodically, and pro element structures, class names, and page layouts may be updated. When that happens, the extension may stop detecting response time data until an update is released. The extension stores your overlay position, size, opacity, visibility, preferred pros, ratings preference, and response time history locally in your browser's storage using GM_setValue. Response time history is stored as a key-value object where keys are account IDs and values are arrays of response time records. The response time data displayed is read from the page—the extension does not access HomeAdvisor's internal pro data. Always verify with HomeAdvisor directly for the most accurate response time information. No data is ever sent to any server, and no personal information is collected. You can clear all stored settings at any time by clearing your browser data for homeadvisor.com.
